Excellent guides, lots of new information and the tasting of 2 eatible plants.
I would totally recommend miter peak cruises as my experience with them was out of this world. Safety is there number one priority so when I needed medical attention they went above and behold there call of duty. Thanks to all medical staff involved in flying me out and to the medic a big thank you to Steve the medic for making the right decision. ABIG AROHA to you all Regards Allison Clark
It was the most amazing day. The flight and scenery was incredible our pilot Elliott was amazing pointing out mountain areas and names, flying close just amazing. Our cruise was great, what a lovely country we live in. I would definitely put this on your 'to do' list.
First, I want to thank the pilots, especially henry for his kindness to our boy and his great handling of the plane. #butterlanding The trip on the modern and luxurious cruise ship was also unforgettable and the views beautiful.
This is a beautiful experience. Our pilot was lovely, talked to us all the way and the flight was very safe and scenic. The cruise was equally as good, with awesome people running it. They even stop and have a chat - just so friendly. The Milford Sound is unforgettable, so majestic and a beautiful part of New Zealand. Totally recommend it.
We were lucky enough to have such a beautiful day. We saw dolphins, penguins and seals. It was gorgeous. Also got to go under a waterfall and drink from a waterfall. My partner says this is the most beautiful place he's ever seen.
This was a fantastic cruise, what an overload of scenery and views. The boat's crew were great, very knowledgeable with a humorous twist occasionally. Going under the waterfalls was an interesting experience, a particularly wet one for the crew member who went under the fall to collect glasses of water for passengers to sample! Parking at the Sound was easy (campervan) & free, the whole cruise was organised so efficiently we couldn't fault it. The drive from Te Anue was easy and several viewing stops. A really well worthwhile trip to make especially with the Bookme discount. We also went on a Doubtful Sound trip and both my wife & I enjoyed Milford Sound more although both are great experiences in their own way.
Absolutely outstanding views and a fantastic staff, they made it so much fun and gave great bits of info! Thank you so much for a great time! ♥️
It was a rainy day but that meant lots of waterfalls. The boat and crew were lovely. Great commentary with a sense of humour. Highly recommended
So beautiful no matter the weather. My son thought drinking waterfall water was like the best thing ever. We saw heaps of different wildlife like Seals and penguins. Such good value for money! I would definitely do this again with the family!
everything was awesome!
Amazing landscape! Snow mountain, blue ocean, touchable waterfalls, cute penguins, lazy seals, wandering dolphin family, together friendly staff and clean tidy boat. In brief, unforgettable!
We loved Damien and tom etc, the cruise was great, not much wild life, but that's the sounds for you. We did the 9.30am and only 15 on board. We travelled the same areas as real journeys that we went on the next day but with 500 Chinese at 11am. Real journeys goes a lot faster, so cruise went faster than the nature cruise. Would recommend it over the bigger boats. You don't get the coach loads of people on board.
Just the right conditions to see lots of waterfalls as it had rained for two days before the cruise. Mist lifted with the sunrise. Beautiful and breathtaking views.
Unique place, photos don’t give justice of how beautiful it is, definitely a must do. The cruise is very comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff and nice fish and chips for lunch
Our group of 3 adults and 3 kids did this on a cool sunny winters day. The captain was very knowledgeable and told us all about the history of the places we visited. So many stunning photo ops. This was the highlight of our south island trip.
for $20 this was amazing
Lovely crew, plenty of seating inside and standing area outside (some benches as well). The bacon sandwich is nicer than the photo in the brochure makes you think, although more a snack than a full breakfast but still tasty. Veggie option was tomato and cheese. We saw a lot of dolphins, the skipper turned around so that we could see better, before continuing with the cruise. Very good value for money in my opinion. The beautiful area helps of course, but we had a great morning and would recommend this trip
The scenery is simply amazing, the mountains, the ocean, the waterfalls, and the forest are all breathtaking. No matter what the weather is, rain, snow, or sunny it is always a wonderful trip when you visit Milford Sound. Mitre Peak cruises were a great company to go with. Small boats which meant less people, inside viewing and outside along with the friendly commentary and helpful service made this trip extra special.
It was great and we loved the site.
We had great weather--not a cloud in the sky--and our guide Tobias was wonderful. We kayaked around 15km over 4 hours and enjoyed the peaceful beauty of Milford Sound. All gear is provided, just make sure to take insect repellent and a bag lunch/snacks.
Had an amazing time. It’s the best way to see and explore Milford Sound. It’s fun, personable and a great work out. All gear supplied (wetsuit, thermals, etc). Our guide was fantastic as well. Definitely worth doing if you’re going to Milford Sound.
The cruise was brilliant! The boat was amazing, not a bad seat on it. The staff were friendly and really informative too. Would definitely recommend booking with these guys
When i came to New Zealand for the first time 7 years ago, i didn't know it was possible to do a day walk in the Milford Track. Unfortunately you have to book in advance (like one year before) if you want to do the whole track, and because of covid i wasn't sure that i could be able to do it. The best option was to do a day walk. After the booking, I received an email from the staff asking me when i wanted to start and when they can pick me up. I started at 8.30 am and i took the water taxi at 1 pm. So they give you plenty of time if you want to walk a little bit further than the Falls. the last boat is at 4.30 pm. I recommend totally !
That was the best activity we did here in NZ! We did a cruise in July last year, but it was only 2h. In this overnight cruise, you can experience the sunset, see the stars at night and see the sunrise in the morning. The kayak was super fun also, and the food is just amazing. Everyone of the staff team was great and we had an amazing time, this is certainly a must do for everyone that comes to NZ.
This was a great cruise! So glad we picked this one. Absolutely loved the kayak and swim. Saw the Fiordland crested penguin. Food exceeded our expectations and staff were helpful and friendly. Awesome ship! Well cared for ship and perfect for the purpose. If you can, pick this cruise, great value for money and you won’t regret spending a bit longer than a couple of hours on board.
Super relax and beautiful!
The weather wasn't great the day started out overcast and we had a bit of rain, sleet and snow but not enough to dampen anyone's spirit. Our coach driver Pablo was fantastic, funny and informative through out the tour. My husband and I live in the north island and this was our first trip down south, I am of maori decent and want to say without a doubt this was one of the highlights of our holiday. We had planned to fly back to Queenstown from Milford but alas it was unsafe to do so and so after our amazing cruise out to the Tasman sea and back we returned by coach. A great day, spectacular views, friendly people and staff especially Pablo our premo safe driver...
The cruise was totally amazing. I highly recommend this cruise!!
Superb from start to finish. I would highly recommend the smaller cruise boat much more personal experience from the excellent crew. 5 Star ⭐️ Day Thank you Mitre Cruise.
I highly recommend this.
Absolutely amazing.
I recently took the Milford Sound Cruise operated by Mitre Peak Cruises, and I must say that it was a breathtaking experience. The fjord, waterfalls, and wildlife in the area were nothing short of spectacular. The staff on board the vessel were knowledgeable and friendly, and the captain provided insightful commentary throughout the cruise, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The vessel was quite bumpy it might be due to the weather. Additionally, I found the price of the cruise to be quite expensive compared to other activities in the area. Nevertheless, Mitre Peak Cruises offer a cheaper price among all the operator. Overall, I would highly recommend the Milford Sound Cruise operated by Mitre Peak Cruises for anyone looking to experience the natural beauty of Milford Sound. Despite some minor drawbacks, I would rate my experience 4 stars out of 5.
Super great tour guide Kreig. He made our trip extra special by singing for us and taking amazing pictures. It rained on our way to Milford sound making the scenery a spectacular one, we saw curtains of waterfall, it was so beautiful and there were no ending to all these waterfalls, there were 100’s of them. It looked like we were in a different place altogether. Just amazing
Awesome views and awesome experience with Jucy made our day. Good customer service and very accommodating Captain who shares about Milford Sound with its mitres. Food and drinks are available and will not cost you that much. Free coffee and tea. Best of all, the smiles and awes we saw from other Customers which made us want to recommend this to our families and friends.
Even in the rain the cruise was worthwhile, got to see many pop up waterfalls, saw three seal pups and enjoyed the included on board brunch. Crew were friendly, and knowledge of the area was very in depth.
We went on an absolutely perfect day, under clear skies and just after a massive rain had gone through, and I’d 1000% recommend! Riding the swell out was tons of fun from our spot standing at the front of the boat. The captain also took us right up into a couple waterfalls, which was both fun and funny. I personally haven’t experienced a cruise with one of the bigger boats that the other local companies use, but it certainly seems like it’s a bit more fun with these guys and their little vessels. Cheers, and have a great time in Milford!
