Very pleasant trip to Hobbiton, bus ride from City to Hobbiton and Ruakuri's very informative and entertaining. The driver is very polite. Trip to Hobbiton is worth it! No hassles at all, and the buffet at the Green Dragon pub was great and something to look forward to as well. Ruakuri Cave tour was very enjoyable. Only downside was that we had to wait for a longer time for the bus taking us back to Auckland - and we are not even sure who we should look for or who we are waiting for if not for the lovely lady driver who was taking the other group to Rotorua. All in all, it was a great experience and must try tour while in auckland.

My travel mate and I had a fantastic time. I have not done the other caves or adventure companies, but I can't imagine them topping our guides! They were fun, humorous, very informative, without it being too guided and it allowed you to bring in the experience in silence for much of the floating. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking at work cave adventures!

This day tour was one of the best day in my New Zealand trip! Hobbiton and glowworm cave were both really awesome and unforgettable experiences. Our guide was really fun and nice. Definately worth of the money!

We enjoyed the cave and the guide was informative Our campervan was having trouble and left a few messages during business hours as we thought we’d have to cancel or postpone but our calls were not returned which caused a bit of stress at our end and when we got there they didn’t mention it so I’m not sure if they checked their messages Apart from that it was good and the guide Rich was friendly and happy to answer questions and was a gentleman and kept back not rushing up back up the steep stairs My daughter wanted to stay down longer

This was an incredible cave tour that takes you on a beautiful footpath lit by LED lighting and a really cool display of an old magnesium torch. Plenty of glow worms to view and the tour guide Ross was a lot of fun to be around. Ending with a nice cup of tea from the Kawakawa leaves on the property in cool native themed Hut. Photos do not do it justice it is a must see during your stay in New Zealand.

Loved this trip to see the glow worms and share kawakawa tea afterwards. The guide was great because he allowed us quiet time to just sit in the caves with the glow worms without needing to talk all the time. That was magic and really appreciated !!!

I have done other cave experiences with this company and am always impressed with the m. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and the caves were gorgeous. The kawakawa tea in the Ponga hut at the end was a lovely way to finish up.

We had rach as our guide - the experience was second to none - a real up close and personal experience with the gloworms !! The best thing I have done so far ! Thank you and cheers for the sexy pants

my daughter and I did the tubing caving adventure. so much fun ,some challenges for both of us but it really is another world. the gloworms were amazing especially as you drift along underneath them and the climbing, absailing and the squeeze were challenges for me but alot of fun. four hours is great value also, I would highly recommend it

Was the best end to my holiday, abseiling, climbing walls, climbing through rocks, glow worms, tubing and the water wasnt that cold when the adrenalin is pumping. Great for anyone to do but adrenalin junkies might find it a bit light on. Rachel the guide was awesome!!

From start to finish, this experience was unforgettable. Most important, we laughed the whole day. Our guide Nigel was amazing, cheeky, fun, and highly experienced and knowledgeable. We learnt alot about the larvae and other creatures lurking in the darkness. We literally squeezed ourselves through caverns and rafted on tubes down a stream. Enjoyed hot tea and chocolate sitting under the glow of larvae which was just incredible. And got to abseil in and rock climb out of the cave. To finish up you get a warm cuppa soup and bread roll and hot shower after.

Had an awesome time at Kiwi Cave - Black Water Rafting! My friend and I were slightly nervous at the beginning but our instructor/guide Tim made us feel safe and calm by cracking a few jokes. Through the experience, he was a great support person and helped me fight the current a couple of times. Overall a great experience and if you feel a bit nervous to give it a try remember that I did it (a person afraid of heights)! 😊

It was fun with friends. :) Instructor and our guide Kelly cool and fun !! Experience of natural wonders .. i.e. Glow worms and Amazing Caves. Abseiling and rock climbing was fun. Our Clothes and attire was the most funniest for the adventure though ;)

My husband and i spent twelve days in nz. In both the south and the north island and we got to do alot but this experience didnt compare to anything else around not even in our own country. Best day ever, lovely guide, great company, good insights and warm soup.

Black water rafting on bucket list: tick. Cat was our guide and she was an absolute legend! Really knowledgeable, warm, friendly and welcoming! She also has the amazing skill of encouraging you but not making you feel silly if you have any fears. I would highly recommend this! The groups are a great size and a whole lot of fun will be had. Thank you Cat for such a fabulous time and adventure. I truly do treasure this memory and the fact that we didn't have to worry about taking photos, was awesome.

Kiwi Cave Rafting did a great job giving us a thorough experience. Black Water Rafting, Caving, Abseiling, Rock climbing and Glow Worms. Highlight personally was the concentration of glow worms, best I've ever seen.

It was one of the best experiences I had in New Zealand! My friends and I were really lucky to find this deal on Bookme and spontaneously decided to go. Turns out there was no one else and we ended up having a private Tour with a great guide who showed us all of the hidden treasures, all the while keeping us entertained. The activities were diverse and time just flies by. The big Glowworm Cave is the most beautiful I've ever seen - and I have seen a few, and Nigel certainly knows his way around all the little cracks he had us crawl through! We had a great time, lots of fun and we even got fed ;) all in all a perfect day!

This adventure was at the top of the list for us. We spent 2 weeks in New Zealand visiting both the north and south islands and this was the most fun adventure we had. Our guides Kenny and Teri were phenomenal. Skillful, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and funny! They went out of their was to ensure we had the most fun possible, but always making sure we were safe. At no point did we ever feel scared or worried. This is a must do for anyone with an adventurous soul. We highly recommend it if you are visiting the north island.

My friend and I initally thought of doing the Lost World 4 hour experience. After learning the 7 hour Epic adventure, we decided to go all out and have never looked back. This 7 hour experience is really EPIC and worth all time and energy invested. Most of the time is spent in water and navigating through rocks in the cave which those who did the 4-hour wont get to experience. In fact, we felt that, except for the abseiling, the experience would be sub-par for those who did the 4 hour one. If you take a look at the photo, the 4 hour tour ends at the ladder and you do a bit of a hike above ground. Truely grateful to be able to be do the 7 hour epic. It does requires some level of fitness and you can do it slow and steady. Our group was able to be ahead of schedule and thus, we get to do a couple more stuff in the cave. In total, there are 3 spots to sit down and rest to see the glow worms (the first spot is where the 4 hour tour ends, the other 2 spots are only available in the 7 hour epic as they are in the caves and they are far better than the first spot) The guides were very experience and were very safety conscious. Thank tou for making this experiece so great for us.

Physically and mentally challenging, but incredible, well-experienced and knowledgeable guides helping us along. At each challenge they were telling you what you needed to do, or where you needed to put your feet, or what to hold onto. We felt safe, and well-supported, and finished the day with a full tummy; incredulous that we had achieved such an amazing adventure! Tips for the girls: take a hair tie if your hair is long, and wear long sleeved polyprops under the wetsuit if you feel the cold.

If there is a tour that you should do, this is it! Very enjoyable, extremely professional team with a great sense of humor and even better service! Due to bad weather the cave was flooded, but I was quickly given a (possibly better) alternative. The tour is a perfect mix between being a good challenge and still remaining very safe, the guides know exactly what they are doing and I never felt at any risk. Absolute highlight of my time in new zealand!

Whoa! We did the half day lost world adventure, and it was mind blowing how fun, and beautiful the whole experience was! Our guid Joel was the best! He was nice, insightful and caring. DONT MISS THIS one in a lifetime adventure.

Had a wonderful day abseiling into the caves and slowly climbing my way out. The leaders were very experienced and helped my companions who'd never abseiled before enjoy the adventure too. I would highly recommend this.

This tour was amazing. A truly amazing way to view the glow worms and have an adventure. Our guide was funny and took us on some side quests that were a fun challenge

Super great experience. Does require some level of fitness and flexibility. The small spaces and tight squeezes at points can make you a wee bit anxious but nothing to worrying. It was an amazing activity and with it being winter there was no one else on our tour. Was definitely worth the cold water for a private caving experience! Our guide was super knowledgeable and very personable.

Ive been wanting to do this tour for the past 4 years. Price was a big issue for me. Bookme helped to overcome this obstacle. This was an amazing tour. The repell down to the Lost world was absolutely breathtaking. The guides were knowledgable. The caving was easy enough for a first timer. The ladder climb out was adventurous when I turned my headlamp off. I got to feel my way up in the darkness but also got to see the glow worm formations as I made my way up. Not much photos, but what was taken by the guides were awesome. Live in the moment...Great tour...

I booked the lost world 4 hour tour with my partner for a 30th birthday gift to myself. We got super lucky, because It turned out that no one else had booked for the tour that day, and it was just the two of us and our guide in the cave so we literally got our own private tour of the lost world. It was a truly amazing experience. The weather was perfect, with just a light drizzle of rain that made everything misty and even more magical. Joel was a fantastic guide; he made us feel completely at ease and was a lot of fun to hang out with.
