Challenge yourself in our Escape Adventure as you take on a riveting Scavenger Hunt, Escape Room, and Augmented Reality (AR) in Auckland's stunning Takapuna area!
At the start of this outdoor game, you’ll be faced with your first mystery. To solve this mystery, you’ll receive an escape kit with all the tools and technology you and your team need to solve the mystery before the clock runs out. While enjoying fascinating AR features and geolocation technologies, you must focus on investigating the streets of Takapuna, locating clues, solving puzzles, and breaking codes. Without the limits of a physical room, your possibilities are limitless.
AR-enhanced challenges and tasks await you, but as you’re having fun uncovering clues and piecing the puzzle together, keep in mind you are still racing against the clock.
Can you solve the mystery before the clock runs out?
With 3 game options to choose from:
- Easy [approx. 60 minutes]
- Medium [approx. 90 minutes]
- Hard [approx. 120 minutes]
We have something for everyone whether you’re the code crackers, puzzlers, or the experienced mystery solvers. Choose your difficulty, then on the day, chat with the team to decide on what storyline you want to play. No notice required!

Operation Mindfall:
According to our sources, Spider Technologies has created a virus for mind control. It’s already infected 20% of the world's population changing citizens shopping habits, political beliefs, or influencing assassinations. We developed Operation Mindfall to stop Spider Tech and picked you as our agents.
Your mission: Find the cure to Spider Tech’s lethal virus! Can you complete the task in time? We’re counting on you!

Magic Portal:
Since the beginning of time, magic portals protected by guards, connected our world to a wonderful parallel realm. Unfortunately, one of the gateway guardians has been thrown into a magical sleep, allowing bad creatures to enter and wreak havoc in our realm.
Your mission: Solve puzzles in magical locations to collect enough crystals to re-seal the Magic Portal and restore our planet.

Brilliant
Very well organised, friendly, helpful staff, easy to follow instructions and a fun filled outdoor experience battling against the clock to solve the clues. Would highly recommend, we will be back to crack the other outdoor game!

Escape Adventure - Thrillzone
Fortunately this was part of an Auckland promotion and it was free otherwise this would have represented dreadful value for money. The game itself was terribly devised - not intuitive at all or fun. This really felt like it was made by an 8 yr old and not very well conceived. Would give it 0 stars if I could just to warn people not to waste their money on this. The cash deposit also put a damper on the experience as we were worried that if we broke anything we would be charged a ridiculous amount to replace. The staff at the place were great however and tried their best but the product itself really was a joke.

We are sorry that the Outdoor Escape did not meet your expectations - the vast majority of our customers like the experience, as it combines scavenger hunt with Augmented Reality riddles. Perhaps it just wasn't the right activity for you. The information about the deposit is visible before making the booking - the deposit is required, as you're leaving the store with our iPad (which is worth significantly more than $200) and game-designed equipment and gets refunded as soon as you return the equipment. Before paying, we show every customer what is the cost per item in case anything breaks, which hardly ever happens. Kind regards, your Thrillzone Team.
