The bike was amazing got to take a Whyte e-180. The guy even offered to let me switch bikes if I killed the battery which I did. Great service and cool location to start off going through the Maori Village :) would highly recommend!
It's true. 30% off when u book early enough via bookie.com. The whole package is the same as you buy directly from the agent, but why pay more?!
Definitely go for the early bird offer- I had the trail all to myself and it was amazing. Lots to see and listen to. Really friendly staff also. Well worth it.
This was so much fun. We had a very entertaining tour guide - Chief. I learned a lot and very interesting things about the Maori culture and the little village is beautiful with a beautiful walk. Make sure to book at least 3 hours for this experience and to book for the Hangi meal. Well worth it! Enjoyed it a lot.
It was an even more wonderful trip than I had expected..! I enjoyed not only Waitomo cave but also many other things like visiting farm and HAKA performance. I recommend this tour especially for the person who first visit to Auckland ;)
Very organised as i had a letter waiting at checkin time and also was called in my room for confirmation of my tour to Waitomo & Rotorua, picked up from the hotel on time to the terminal, My guide/driver SHELLY very well informed kept updating throughout the tour about the progress and some little stories of local culture and more, which was intresting the journey felt so comfortable , snack, lunchbox and water was provided,as promised was dropped back to aucland on time. Thank you for such a great expierence. would love to do more in Rotorua
The trip was absolutely perfect, the driver fills you in with heaps of facts on the way down! Everything was planned and ran smoothly, so you could just sit back and relax! Absolutely recommend to everyone, perfect experience and it is a must do when in New Zealand!!
There were 6 people,so this tour was friendly, kind and hospitality. When I requested personal hopeness, they responded. Thank you. I would like to join this tour again.
I had an absolutely amazing time from the bus trip, Waitomo caves and Rotorua. It was an educational and magical day besides the unpredictable weather of NZ. Rachael our bus driver, was entertaining and great. All the tour guides were great and obviously very passionate about their work. Will definitely do this tour again. Thank you.
Excellent attraction to visit. There’s a good variety of geothermal activity to see and the views from the upper tracks are beautiful.
An excellent authentic village. It was raining on our most which only added to the magic of the tour. One of the best experiences in Rotorua to see geothermal activity and authentic Moari culture.
Great Maori culture experience ever! This place is recommended by a lot of friends, it not only has great views, but also explained a lot of local Maori cultures and how their village were formed. We loved their Maori performance, and also learnt to performance with them! It took about 2hours to visit the whole village including all the lookouts. A great afternoon experience! P.S. bring some New Zealand dollar coins for the kids in the river, they work hard to earn their school bag or Brand new Xbox!
I've had one of the greatest time of my life. It was so wonderful how everybody was so kind to the visitors. They have a very beautiful history. I recommend this visit at 1001 %
We had a great guide and did the performance as well highly recommend as we had no idea about Maori culture
We enjoyed every part of the day. The tour was entertaining and informative, our guide Robert was very humourous. The only thing we did not take part in was the chicken lunch as we had our own picknick. We did try the sweetcorn which was lovely.
Wonderful place to see the awesome culture
We enjoyed it.
AWESOME!!!!
Been here already a few times and love it every time I'm going. Sent already all my friends and they love it as well!
Friendly, warm and makes you feel like part of the Whanau. Thank you.
I really like this.... Good Place. Fantastic
Very friendly staff, excellent guide on walking tour - Mera. So interesting how all the geothermal activity is used in daily living. Thoroughly enjoyed cultural dance and song show. Scored amazed pictures with them as well. Don’t forget to try a Hangi pie, or corn - so delicious. Great value, highly recommend.
It was a valuable experience! Thank you.
WE LOVE THE CULTURAL PERFORMANCE...
The Whakarewarewa living Maori village was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. From watching live performances, to enjoying guided tours and later on experiencing the local food, my family and I had a blast. Talking to the people that lived there also gave us a lot of insight into their culture, and if we could ever come back again to visit, we definitely would.
We prefer to 'find our own way' around things, and this was the perfect way to do that at the Whakarewarewa village. A really great value trip, and enjoyed walking around the trail (even in the rain!) and spotting all the various geothermal stops of interest, and also the fascinating parts of the Māori village.
Excellent guide, clean toilets, amazing sights of geothermal environment.
Beautiful walk
Such a nice walk. It was better than I expected it to be. Being able to walk around at your own pace and enjoying the views the trails have to offer, it was more than amazing! Would highly recommend it.
It was an awesome experience for the geothermal trails in Whaka!! I highly recommend to purchase the tickets from bookme, great deal for the price of admission. My mom and I enjoyed the wonderful and interesting view. It took less an hour, easy walking trails(even for my 70 year old mom. Early in the morning was a good time for walk through the trails.
Great views, still beautiful in the rain, loved the history and reading the map with the info on each spot! Definitely recommend
