Wonderful experience. Staff friendly and helpful.
Booked through Bookme and then had to call Sealink which was fine - received good customer service. A bit of a runaround at the terminal. All was sorted fairly easily - we just had to show the Bookme confirmation as well as the Sealink confirmation email. So make sure you are aware of this when booking through Bookme. Other than that, well organised in terms of getting cars on and off. Good cafe and aircon and upper deck on the larger ferry. Obviously a good trip with good views on a sunny day.
The boat is always on time, inside of the cabin is warm and there's a coffee shop with delicious things to pass the time if you want to. Very friendly and helpful staff! Awesome!
Great trip, always on time
Awesome place, both my kids loved it and have asked to go back.
Beautiful place, good way to spend time with family.
Great way to spend the day with family, it was pleasantly different and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely try to visit on one of the live days to get the most of the experience!
심심하던 차에 들렸던 곳. 그 당시 역사와 현장을 볼 수 있고 알 수 있어서 좋았다.
Must visit and experience
A visit to the nicely priced cafe was first. Next we went out side into very hot temperature to wander around the village. A woman at the office had shown us a map with the toilets marked. Theses were very clean. I took a few photos of the school rooms and noticed the water wheel was no longer turning. More weeds than previously. However a great conversation with the butter maid and a final jaunt in Michael Fords cottage. Several children were enjoying stilts on another lawn.
Lovely village that takes you back in time 😊 My toddler stuck her nose in every little house and chicken feeding was a bonus! A must visit when you live around the area
It was absolutely lovely, a beautiful time to walk with our family and see the different houses, tents and everything, heaps of details to see and enjoy there. We went with our baby who is almost 2 he had so much fun too! Definitely coming back. There's a picnic area too with a good shadow if you want to have a break.
Remind me so much about home/ my childhood every was amazing highly recommended
Great morning out for my kids (2 and 4) they loved exploring all the different cottages. They enjoyed being able to feed the chickens and help churn the cream during the butter making demonstration and then trying some on crackers. They had stilts which was fun for the children and adults.
Definitely go to one of the LIVE DAY. It is like walking into history. Loved it! So much things to do and see.
Overall good experience, kids enjoyed it so that was a bonus👌just wish we had more of the big houses open as we found the big house to be very fascinating esp for the kids.
Great experience for me and my toddler today. Nice and quiet but exceptionally well run venue to experience. Very interactive. Felt particularly safe being outdoors during covid
We visited Howick Historical Village on a Sunday morning with our 8 months old baby. The place was well kept, with lots of information to read through and the walk around the village was enjoyable and picturesque. There are some optional activities like bread making and a place for kids to draw etc. The weather was not on our side and it rained a bit but there are large umbrellas available to enjoy the experience anyways. It would be a great place to come back to when our son is a little bit older and pack a lunch to enjoy it outdoors in the picnic area.
A must do when in auckland. Amazing views.

Was an enjoyable different from normal experience. Only slight drawback for our 10 year old daughter was "because the ball got shot too hard from the machine dat we were using" otherwise good fun.
Booked a baseball session for an hour, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, and loved it. They provided the equipment (bats, balls, helmets) and all were keen to have a go. A larger group next to us was practicing cricket. We will definitely be back. A great activity for older kids and adults.
It was our first time and they gave us a run through before our time started. Thankfully we had a teensy bit of background into softball so we were able to just keep it going for the entire hour. So much more tiring than I expected since it was just the two of us!! The facility had good airflow, plenty of softballs to feed the machine, picking it up and loading the machine up was easy as, and it felt completely safe having one person batting and one person behind the net beside the feeder.
Kids had a great time (both 7 years old) guy behind the counter was super helpful and explained all the rules. Easy enough to operate the ball machine. Would do it again, heaps of fun!
My Mates and I really like it. We might visit again. ☺
