Fantastic day. Spacious boat, excellent crew, very informative information along the way, including the bus. Great photo opportunities, stunning views.
Our day spent to discover Doubtful Sound was marvelous ! The team at RealNZ is knowledgeable, agreeable, funny and knows how to share their love of this wonderful spot. Started the day in the fog and ended up under bright sun ! Quite an experience !!!
Although the morning was misty and a bit rainy, we were lucky and passed a couple hours and once in the sound, the sun shined and we were able to admire those incredible landscapes. Afar we saw some dolfins, so it was awesome so far. The staff was very nice too. Highly recommended! Thank you guys!
Great experience. Team at Go Orange were awesome!
Everything about this was amazing from start to finish. The tour guides were informative and really brought this experience alive. The scenery was breathtaking and I am just in awe. You must do this if you're in the South Island.
Our doubtful sounds cruise with Real Journeys was absolutely breathtaking - beautiful sights landscapes from right left and centre, educational and priceless history. Stunning, picturesque landscapes, forestry, waterfalls. It was romantic and breathtaking. We even came across a penguin, seal and dolphins. Our skipper was brilliant, the tour bus driver made our trip very memorable. I would like to thank the crew for an unforgettable trip - especially Tony and Eddith who helped me pull off a special moment during our trip.
I went with my family and my wee boy, was an amazing experience as everyone could enjoy the sightseeing, and the weather helped us out. Friendly staff ?
Well worth doing, amazing unspoilt pristine environment.
Breathtaking views. Great staff. We learned so much and had a great time. Unlimited tea and coffee to keep us warm and a small group of visitors to converse and make friends with. :)
We couldnt fault it. Small group. Great tour guides information professional considerate.. stopped for photos educating friendly laid back. Nature at its best when it rained.. so pretty. Will never forget this place.
Such a professional operation. It was a long day, however the scenery and experience was worth it! Started out with a 45min ferry ride across Lake Manapouri. Our captain was very informative about the area and landmarks within the lake. Arrived at New Zealand’s largest (mostly underground) hydro power station. Boarded a bus for about half an hour I’ve rather Wilmot Pass (unsealed road was in great condition). Arrived to jetty and boarded MV Sinbad. Sailed along the main channel of Doubtful sound and into a couple of arms off it. It was prehistoric- nature at its best. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see any wildlife apart from birds on that trip. Boat didn’t go all the way to the sea mouth, but could have been due to inbound weather. The crew on the Sinbad ran a running commentary about the Fiord. Complimentary tea and coffee on both boats. Snacks available at a charge - cash only. We got back to Jetty and repeated the trip in reverse. Long but fabulous day out in nature!
