Food was stunning, every entree and main was beautiful, apple crumble tart was incredible too! Chocolate cake wouldn't be on my list again. Service, amazing and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Took the kids for 11th bday meal but probably wouldnt take kids again - not particularly geared towards children which is understandable.

We had the most incredible dinner and dessert at the Thirsty Peacock. Loved the entire experience, excellent service and waiter! Highly recommend and would visit again 😍

The quality of the food is very reasonable for the price paid. 4 of us spent $240 total (including 2 drinks). I would steer away from the fried food and tempura items as there is a strong oil aftertaste that stays on the food and the oil sticks on to the food. Also, the fried dumplings also tasted a little bit like frozen dumplings so you might not get dollar back .Do not expect too much from the sushi rice as the rice was slightly overcooked and was kind of dry, which was the same for the rice that was served as well. However, the sashimi is good as expected, tasting fresh. The spicy chicken is quite interesting, making a good fusion between Japanese and Chinese cuisine. The banana crepe was nice but the physical appearance of the dish was not too appetising, but definitely worth a shot. The personal favourite is the ice cream sundae as the green tea ice cream was very strong and flavourful. The fried ice cream had the same oily aftertaste issue like the other fried items.

Arrived at the place and immediately felt at home. The song Ae ji Oo ji from Ram Lakhan was playing on the speakers. The place was over half full. Which was nice to see after so many days in isolation. The serving staff (Harshad (male) and a girl whose name we didn't catch) were wonderful. Harshad even played with our toddler. The food was real good. We had kulfi, murgh tikka, sev puri, dahi puri and kadai chicken. The recipes were not overly sweet which was good because that's usually how it is made back in Mumbai! My partner and toddler enjoyed the whole experience and that is all I care about. Five stars from us.

My partner and I reserved this restaurant for dinner (8pm) on our first night visit to Christchurch. The restaurant has an amazing ambience, very rustic vibe with great Hindi songs playing in the background. The restaurant was full and why not with such delicious selection of food that they serve. We tried Paneer tikka from tandoor and Cauliflower Manchurian from starter. Both dishes were really tasty. Mains we ordered were Paneer saagwala and lamb dhansak which comes with rice. We tried garlic naan and onion & coriander kulcha too. Mouthwatering as the Paneer dish did not have cream which is exactly the way I love with lots of greens. My partner loved his lamb dish as it was succulent and melt in the mouth. For dessert we had Cardamom and coconut kulfi (ice cream on stick) which came as 2 pieces. Very tasty and not too sweet, just perfect. We also tried the Indian chai and yes it was served in glass for the Indian street food feel. Customer service was superb. It gets really busy so be prepared to wait for a while for food especially around dinner time. Making reservations is a must to avoid disappointment. Highly recommend.

Excellent service and commentary, thoughtfulness to my family members with disabilities. Only negative is that it would be good to explain that trams come every 10-15minutes and the ticket is for the time booked onwards. Locals could maybe have cheaper tickets?

Tour guide was funny, full of knowledge and added the personal touch to trip. Saw some amazing sights and learnt so much I didn't already know or seen. 5 star rating, highly recommended

Absolutely amazing service, the man there was very welcoming and talkative it was lovely. Food was really good especially our apple and berry crumble for dessert. Would highly recommend and will be back at some point.

Different sort of Hop On Hop Off, great experience for me and my kid

I booked through Bookme and they have been great, particularly when I made an error. The booking clerk in the Tram ticket office was lovely and helpful and the tram drivers' commentaries were good especially from the lady river. Finally the tram conductor was very efficient seeing passengers safely on and off the trams. Thank you. All four of us enjoyed the ride.

The best way to spend a relaxing afternoon with your family, and being able to get off and on during the day as you approach some of the city's highlights to go exploring further on foot was brilliant.

We liked the drivers. Gave us interesting info. Could come on get off. Price $22 each but only used it 2-3 times on circuit. Did Art gallery, food market so covered some of the stops, should have done the whole circuit. Nice to have them still in use and in great condition. Never sure when they would come but worth having several rides.

What a fantastic way to start our tour of Christchurch central. The drivers were both amazingly informative, they pointed out great places to visit. Which we could hop on and off to see. Great for families of kids who don’t like walking much.

This was a great way to explore Christchurch.Hopping off and on to explore the attractions.Each and every tram drivers commentary bought something different.If it was for the tram driver I would not have discovered the library viewing platform and the first ringing of the cathedral bell ceremony. The drivers were entertaining and I would highly recommend this tour.I rode the tram all day and buying through book me saved me money on the ticket.I used book me for several other tours after and was very happy how easy it was.

The trams are beautiful & instagramable. The drivers were nice & knowledgable about their own hometown. We can hop on - hop off as we like. Nothing to say but fabulous. Worth it!!!
