An amazing team working together to create a wonderful dining experience. The food was fantastic! Highly recommend, will be back.
If you love bbq meat, this is the place to go to! Great meat selections and side dishes. Tapped out on the first full round. Definitely a must try! Don’t be fooled by the look of the small portions on the plate, the food is constantly refilled, you can have as much as you want on your specific favourite skewers. 5 stars for the customer services too!
The food is really good. How it works is that they will bring the food around the tables and you just tell them whether or not you want the food. To get your money's worth I would recommend avoiding the chips as they made us really bloated after it expanded in our stomach. The desserts are a must try even though it is extra cost. Avoid the churros and dessert shot, but the other 3 is a must order. The grilled pineapple and fried bananas are a must try, especially since it is on the menu. Just note that the food overall is a little on the salty/more seasoned side so you might get thirsty quite easily. Definitely wort
The beef spare ribs and definitely worth trying!! For side dishes, green salad, banana milanesa and pineapple are my favourites. I will be back someday
Got to see some very special birds while visiting my young sons. Staff are very approachable and knowledgeable. Enough opportunities for photos.. Apart from the kiwis which I was so happy to have seen! Definitely worth a return trip next time I'm visiting NZ.
We really enjoyed the time at Willowbank with reasonable price thanks to book me.
We love it here and our little girl loves the horses
Always a 10/10 visit love this place ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Have been coming here since I was small and Willowbank never disappoints. It's always on my list of an attraction to bring my visitors to in Christchurch! Budget 10 extra dollars for eel, bird and farmyard feeding!
Lovely walk. That keeps the children on the right track, not many places to wander, which is great for young children, and easy access for prams.Lovely place to stop and eat.Oh yeah and the animals were a hit.
Fantastic place for any age group. Very interactive, great variety of animals. You can feed them, very friendly animals. Lovely Cafe for lunch. Highly recommend.
Great place with the kids
So bookme specifies that we can come half an hour or less before (or after) the time stipulated on the booking for this business. The girl was FAR FROM PLEASED that we had exercised this rule. She was quite frankly, a word that rhymes with witch and I quite unimpressed with her professionalism, nevermind we had flown to CHCH and had been spending quite a bit of money in her region that we needed to save a bit here. We also weren't offered a map, there was no formalities whatsoever. With that aside, my 7yo loved the place, I think this age group would thoroughly enjoy this place, possibly 7-10... the toddlers were exhausted a quarter of the way round (just from observations). We really enjoyed all the animals and obviously all the little baby chicks who were all very cute and the teenager ducks being scolded by their mothers frequently. The Kea's were awesome, I'm pretty sure they're slowly plotting their escape. Was sad to see some very distressed quail's stuck inside, with their friends taunting them inside. I would recommend, even if we had a terrible entrance. Luckily we did come early because it took us 2.5 hours to walk around and the place closes at 5pm. We finished at 4:30pm.
We went for our daughters 3rd birthday and had a blast! Really enjoyed th layout of the place and how user friendly it is there. The native animals are fantastic and feeding the eels was so cool!
Ammazing day out with the family
Was a great experience easy to get around, and help desk/ticketing were friendly and helpful. All staff around were also friendly and helpful. Its definitely a must see attraction in Christchurch!
This is such an awesome place, a great interactive experience for our young children. We were a little late arriving at 4pm and the lady at the counter was quick to tell us we only had an hour. We didn’t mind but thought she could of been a bit more friendly
I had less than 24 hours in Christchurch and Willowbank was my first stop. I was not disappointed. Like many others, I'm sure, my priority was to see a kiwi. Which I did! But there's so much more there and I encourage visitors to take the time to explore. I was particularly mesmerized by the waterfowl, and probably spent a bit too much time hanging out with the wallabies (only because it was getting to be closing time. I could spend forever with wallabies). I was by myself, but it looked to me like the kids who were there were having a great time, too.
Absolutely loved it, hands on and amazing, you need to dedicate more Atleast 3 hours to really take it all in A++++
Had a great time there. Be careful with kangaroos!:)
I thoroughly recommend visiting the Ko Tane experience, with Kiwi tour and Hangi. It was our last big experience before my parents head home to the UK and we finished on a high! The explanation of everything was great and the food was as fantastic! It was a lovely touch that my dad was selected as visiting Chief. I can’t recommend this enough!
We spent a very pleasant couple of hours going round Willowbank, my grandson of three was able to interact with the animals and really enjoyed it
Had a great time wandering along the path and enjoying the beautiful setting. As it was around 3pm, I was nearly alone most of the time. I extremely enjoyed the kiwi exhibit as I saw 3 different birds after my eyes acclimated to the dark. The barn is surely a great place to go if you have kids! Loved it!
Had a lovely day. Thanks willowbank!!!
A great place to visit and feed the animals and see kiwi, fun with the kea's too. I like how it's a boardwalk around do you don't miss anything out.
Always love going to Willowbank I think I may just buy a concession, every time you go back it’s still just as amazing as the first time - great for kids, great for first dates 😘, great for taking some time in nature to yourself. Worth the price, it takes me a good few hours to wander through and have a coffee etc! Feeding the eels is definitely my favourite part
Where you can see the all the national birds (Kea, Kaka, Takahe, Kiwi, Tui) at 1 place. Amazing place :) even us adults had fun too.
OMG this place was amazing. Not only was the enviroment for the animals beautiful but the animals we saw were amazing. There were rare pigs that were ugly but so cute. Fluffy feathered ducks, giant eels, even monkeys and lemers. An amazimg experience. A must do im Chtistchurch.
I am so glad I took Willow (7). We drove from Dunedin and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. So much to see and so many animals to interact with. Very friendly staff and a great wee place. Will be back again
Really great! Friendly and happy performers willing to share their history in a fun filled atmosphere, great hang I enjoyed after the haka!
