Described as one of the oldest National Parks on the planet called "Dual Heritage Tongariro National Park" its located in the Central North Island, in the Ruapehu district. This amazing area has 3 active volcanoes and you get the chance to explore them by foot.
There is an abundance of short walks, however, we have you booked on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing Experience.
Plateau Lodge is based in National Park Village at the foothills of our majestic volcanoes and accommodation includes the use of the spa pool (must be booked in advance), communal lounge and kitchen.
Our brand new studio units feature a king bed, ensuite, tea & coffee, fridge, microwave and an ambient fireplace.
We have various departure times going to the Tongariro Crossing every hour from 6am to 10am.
No need to book a return time as we return all afternoon!
Check-in is at 2pm on the day booked and check out is at 10am on the day of your departure.
