The Alehouse has been built into an impressive historic solid brick building, that has stood the test of time on the West Coast. It needed to be strong too because the Grey River has a mind of its own and occasionally bursts it’s flood bank, sending torrents of the normally well mannered river flooding the Quay and town centre. There have been times when the entire lower bottom floor has been underwater!

Speights Ale House
Thanks for very nice food. Steak was nice and soft. Chips was perfect, salad was fresh. Drinks was good too. Thanks.

Speights Ale House Dinner
After hiking, traveling and making all meals for 11 days, I felt like something a bit special. I was headed north up the west coast, and decided to check bookme.co.nz. Speights Ale House in Greymouth had a dinner special on the site, and of all things - it was a steak dinner! The venue was nice, the staff were friendly, and the meal was excellent in many ways - and a very good price! A much needed rest and experience!

A great meal
We enjoyed a lovely meal, in the great atmosphere of the ALe house in Greymouth. The staff were friendly, and meal very tasty, and we got it cheap by going thru bookme! a good deal
