It was a long time since I had been to Martinborough and surrounds but this trip was beyond what I would have found if left to my own devices. Featherstone in particular was a surprise with its amazing cheese shop and fabulous pub dining. The trip around to the lighthouse was something else… an interesting road without even one sign remarking on the obvious ie that the road was narrow and one lane in various spots. The seals were quite a sight and mildly intrigued by tourist attention. The walk to the lighthouse was a challenge and not my scene but I take my hat off to those who gallantly trecked up the steep stairway. The driver was very informative and flexible. This was a very good outing.
