Ever wanted to fly a plane?? It's time to turn your dreams into a reality at the Wellington Wairarapa Gliding Club!
No experience? No problem! Introduce yourself, your friends, and your family to the epic sport of gliding, as you take to the skies via a state-of-the-art winch, with your expert instructor.
You'll be fully prepared and briefed before even jumping into the plane. Our safety-conscious team of experts, will show you the airfield and give you the entire rundown - including a full instructional briefing about the glider, its controls, and basic instruments!
Once you feel comfortable and prepared, you'll be launched into the sky with your instructor - reaching an amazing 2,000ft in only a minute or so! As your instructor soars the winch, you'll soak up unobstructed views of the beautiful countryside below from your front-row seat. When you're ready, your instructor will let you take the controls and experience the thrill of flying the plane yourself! You will receive One flight with an average flight time of 10mins.

Awsome
It was a surprise for my wife and she absolutely enjoyed it. It was two day's ago and she is still talking about it. Highly recommend. Everbody there including the instructors are awsome. The day was beautiful. Even the clouds gave us a display.Had a blast.

Amazing experience
An amazing bunch of people operating this. My father and 10 year old daughter gave it a go and loved it. Will definitely go back for another round.

An absolute thrill with an amazing team
I had a thoroughly enjoyable day at the Greytown Soaring Centre doing my instructional gliding experience and would strongly recommend this to anyone. It was simply fantastic. The team were amazing in every way and they all made it such a memorable experience. My instructor James was great and I will probably do it again sometime in the future. So much fun!!
