Deep Sea Fishing Charter - Full Day
Join Pete Lamb for a great day on the water - his aim is to help you catch the big one!
Day trips mostly travel to Nicolson’s Trench, where you will target Bass, Bluenose and Hapuku (Groper) - fish which grow in excess of 100lbs! Aside from the deepwater species there are Tarakihi, Bluecod and Gurnard within the shallower water. Other species caught include Snapper, Kingfish, Trevally, Elephantfish, Moki, Trumpeter, Warehou, Tuna and Sharks.
The Daniel is a 62ft, 100 tonne ex-commercial fishing boat, rigged up for charter fishing. Pete has been sailing on Daniel for 10 years and she is as sturdy and comfortable as you could want, containing 6 bunks, a full kitchen, gas BBQ, shower and toilet.
Fishing experience is not required, this trip is for anyone keen to try their hand at reeling in a monster fish. You can bring your own tackle, or book for a tackle inclusive package. There are electric reels available to hire as an extra.
Included in your trip:
You will need; warm clothing, sturdy shoes, sunhat, sunglasses and a camera.
*Minimum numbers are required. If your chosen trip does not fill up you will be offered another day for a charter.
*Cooked breakfast, BBQ lunch or dinner, morning or afternoon tea are available on board by pre-order and are not included in booking price. Mobile eftpos is available, please contact Pete Lamb with the details provided in your booking confirmation to order.

Please Note: Deep Sea fishing requires the right weather, if the wind gets up you will stay closer to shore. Please contact Pete Fishing 24 hours prior to you booking to confirm your trip time. Please include phone and email details in your booking. With prepaid vouchers there is a 24hr non-cancellation period.

Amazing Trip
First of all, Pete is so friendly! I came with a bicycle and he allows me to store it in his shop. The trip: just one word: amazing! I got really no experience in fishing but Pete and his colleague helped me whenever I need some help. And we hooked so much fish! Great day I didn't want to miss! Cheers, Roman
