The legendary Douglas DC3 Skyliner is a dream to fly on, with large windows and comfortable seating, providing a feeling of glamour, nostalgia and romance.

This unique scenic flight will take you on a journey over one of the following flight paths:

 

Flight Path 1:

  • Cruise the North West coastline over Matakana Island towards Athenree and the Waihi area
  • Return to Tauranga flying over the patchwork quilt of kiwi fruit orchards and farms
  • Circle over Tauranga City and Mt Maunganui before landing
  •  

    Flight Path 2:

  • Fly out to Motiti and then circle down to Maketu on the South Eastern coast of the Bay
  • Circle back over the kiwifruit orchards of Paengaroa and Te Puke
  • Cross over the Papamoa Hills to Eastern Tauranga
  • Circle over Tauranga City and Mt Maunganui before landing
  •  

    Be transported back to the 1950’s as you are looked after by our flight attendants who are dressed in 'era' uniforms and enjoy classic tunes played over the PA system.

    All passengers will also get to enjoy entry to the Classic Flyers Aviation Museum, a mecca for aviation enthusiasts with over 5,000 items of memorabilia, 3 hangars, café and much much more!

      There will be up to 3 flight each day starting at 10.30am, when that flight is full the next will be available at 11.45am then the final one at 1.00pm. Note that passengers may be moved onto earlier flights to ensure minimum numbers are met for departure
