Was a nice day out. Nice seeing a different view of the mountain and going for walk around the top was good. This is a great thing to do in the summer cause the views are amazing, take a picnic up and enjoy. Lovely friendly staff greeting with a smile and they have lots of energy. Was a lovely family trip for us. Thank you.
A lovely ride up the mountain experiencing wonderful sights . Cafe was nice but had run out of white wine which was disappointing. We went up last day of summer season so was not as busy
We went on a Tuesday in the school holidays and there were hardly any people there. The Gondola ride is great especially since all 8 of us could fit in together. It was April so there wasn’t any snow yet which was great for the walk up towards the skyline. Fantastic views. Still pricey but saved enough to make it worth it for a memorable day out.
Had a fantastic time with great views from the cafe.

Well worth the trip
It was a rainy cloudy morning when we started up on the Sky Waka. However by the time we reached the top there were bits of blue sky showing. There was only one walk open because of the weather - the Skyline walk. It was hard work climbing at altitude and I hid the halfway sign from my husband 😂, but the view of Mt Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom) at the top was worth it. Definitely a level of fitness needed and it was very blowy at the top but a great feeling of achievement. Lunch at the café was welcome afterwards.
