Our efficient and reliable one way shuttle service from Ketetahi (finish point) to Mangatepopo (start point) will allow you to walk back to your car at your own pace and depart when you want to.

Our cost effective service provides you with greater flexibility, allowing you extra time to climb the summits of Tongariro or Ngauruhoe, tackle some of the more difficult climbs and avoid the crowds.

With over 35 years of working and playing in the mountains of Tongariro National Park, we understand and know what it takes to complete the best one day hike in New Zealand.

  • This is a weather dependent activity. You will need to contact us 24 hours prior to reconfirm to your booking and to get a weather and track conditions update and if we are operating that day.

    Cancellations can and do occur at short notice due to weather. It is your responsibility to confirm your booking.

    The Department of Conservation has now restricted car parking to 4 hours within the Ketetahi carpark - for the summer hiking season. There is still free parking available on the road reserve opposite the Ketetahi carpark road.

    Our Shuttles are on a fixed schedule and out of consideration to the people who have made the departure times on time they will leave on time.

    Safety: Adventure HQ will help you to be safe during your trek; we have the latest weather and track information and years of local knowledge. On site at Adventure HQ we have everything you need to be fully prepared. To lessen our environmental impact, we recommend you download our Fact Sheet which contains all the necessary safety information to make your day a success

    Departures: From Ketetahi at approximately 8:15am. Departure times may change due to demand, weather conditions and changes in daylight savings. Times will be confirmed when you call to book your seat.

Lohnt sich!

Wir haben uns für diese Art von Shuttle entschieden, da man somit keinen Zeitdruck auf der Wanderung hat. Es ist zeitlich einer der letzten Shuttles, weshalb man die große Masse vor sich hat und dementsprechend sehr entspannt und teilweise alleine auf dem Track laufen kann. Sehr zu empfehlen!
