    Good to visit

There were 2 nocturnal houses for the kiwi which was the big draw for us. We went as a couple and suddenly saw a dim shape at the back which came to the front digging around with its beak and having water from the pond at the front. We got a really good view for a long time. We didn’t actually think we would see one and took a photo of the kiwi in a glass case at the entrance to show what they were like. We then went to the 2nd house and saw another kiwi searching for food in logs and the leafy floor. After this excitement, we went and saw the other native birds and took photos of them in their areas. We went back to the kiwis afterwards and were rewarded once again. Absolutely fantastic and good value for money if you’re counting. Wonderful to see these rare creatures.
