Was a nice day out. Nice seeing a different view of the mountain and going for walk around the top was good. This is a great thing to do in the summer cause the views are amazing, take a picnic up and enjoy. Lovely friendly staff greeting with a smile and they have lots of energy. Was a lovely family trip for us. Thank you.
Had a fantastic time with great views from the cafe.
The weather was rubbish but staff gave us open ended ticket to go back when weather had cleared. Fab ride on gondola and beautiful scenery. Cafe/restaurant at top of volcano excellent value for money. Volcano walks hard so wear correct gear. Over all fantastic well worth the trip
Ticketing was easier on bookme than on the sky waka website however bookme didn't give any warning that we had to get tickets with barcodes once we arrived at the Sky Waka. The trip and the time at the top of the Sky Waka was very enjoyable, particularly the token snow to play in. Service at the Cafe has improved too.

Well worth the trip
It was a rainy cloudy morning when we started up on the Sky Waka. However by the time we reached the top there were bits of blue sky showing. There was only one walk open because of the weather - the Skyline walk. It was hard work climbing at altitude and I hid the halfway sign from my husband 😂, but the view of Mt Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom) at the top was worth it. Definitely a level of fitness needed and it was very blowy at the top but a great feeling of achievement. Lunch at the café was welcome afterwards.
