About The Lakeland Queen:
The Lakeland Queen was built locally in 1986 and modelled on the famous Mississipi riverboats making her ideal for the shallower waters of Lake Rotorua. A genuine stern wheel paddle steamer, she is powered by a 500 hp Cummins diesel engine driving a 16 bladed stern paddle. A true icon of the region the recently refurbished 'Grand Old Lady of the Lake' can cater for up to 210 seated guests and is a real must-do during your Rotorua visit.
Our comfortable floating restaurant has two deck levels, outdoor viewing platforms, and a fully licensed bar for your enjoyment.
The lower deck is wheelchair friendly with accessible restroom.

Relax and enjoy
Nice relaxing cruise with bottomless coffee and a lovely cake. Nice tea and hot chocolate. The service was very friendly and helpful. Volunteered assistance when a person wasn't sure how something worked. The Captain's commentary was informative and interesting.

Quiet trip
It was a pleasant distraction. I felt sorry for them that there were so few passengers but they did their best to provide good service and an enjoyable trip.

Enjoyable cruise
We enjoyed the service on the cruise with a free coffee from the machine and a jam muffin. It was a great day to take to take to the lake for a look around. Thanks for the experience and great commentary.

Fantastic
Best experience with my son and was worth it with coffee n yummy muffin to enjoy
