Go for a walk and get muddy

We did the walk and then the mud and Sulfur bath- and had the best time! My visiting Aussie parents loved the experience too. I highly recommend doing this! Our skin feels amazing today as well..!

Kiwi tourist for a day

My friend and I are both NZers and really enjoyed the walk around the reserve at Hells. We also enjoyed a soak in the sulphur spa. However If you are deciding between the spa and the mud bath, skip the spa. The complimentary carving was great and provided international tourists with an interactive cultural experience. However there were a couple of down falls. We wanted to add the mud baths onto our package and were quoted $20 extra pp over the phone. when we got there the price rose to $40pp, and another staff member told us $45pp on top of a somewhat already expensive admission. Also there was no mud in the foot mud pool (just gravel), and the water was cold? Overall a good day!

Hells gate

Hells gate was ok. Nothing special, I found I had a more exciting time walking around the natural pinds/ mud pools at the park in Rotorua for free. The mud bsth was nice, I enjoyed that but wouldn't spend that kind of money to ho here again
