Discover the beauty of Hamurana Springs on a self-guided walk.
Experience the natural beauty and tranquillity of this nature park at your own pace!
Great fun for the whole family to enjoy with two trails to explore and learn about the cultural significance of this taonga (treasure) to the people of Ngāti Rangiwewehi. Hamurana Springs was originally a tribal settlement named Te Kaikaitahuna with a history dating back to the mid 1300's.
Take your time to stroll both trails and stop for a picnic or complete the quickest trail on a 30 minute round trip if you are short for time.
The onsite golf club has a selection of food and drinks available for purchase or feel free to bring along a picnic.

We loved our stop here. Beautiful, well-kept grounds. The water is so clear! Lots of wildlife, loved the Redwoods. Worth the stop!
A beautiful peaceful walk would definitely recommend
I klnever knew such shades of blue could naturally exist. My phone camera did not do this place justice. We were greeted by an incredibly friendly gent name Marnie who gave us the run down of the walk so we thought we knew what to expect, then he directed us down the path, over the bridge, and out of reality as we knew it towards huge red wood trees and gorgeous blue water. The walk was two days ago and we've explored half of Rotorua since then, but my girlfriend still keeps talking about Hamurana. Two thumbs up, 5 stars, and a huge recommendation from me.
Would definitely go back for another visit.

Serene and beautiful
A lovely park - worth the cost. The area is serene and the redwoods are gorgeous. Very less crowd so felt like we were by ourselves. The spring is beyond imagination and photos don’t do justice. The staff are helpful and friendly. Will visit again. Thank you.
