You get a real sense of how life would have been for the men who lived here not so long ago and the conditions they must have endured to find their fortune in a barren country. The tour guide was absolutely wonderful with such a passion for educating our group on the history and life/tools etc. We thoroughly enjoyed panning and brought home two flakes of gold to show for our efforts. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable experience, my kids will be talking about this for a while, they are also enjoying the 'Children of the Rush' book. There have already been requests for a return visit!
