Jenni said... We had a fantastic half day trip. We were lucky with the weather and Del knew all the best vantage points for great photos. Just the two of us plus a very knowledgeable guide meant we learned heaps about the area, the history of both the settlers and gold mining. The old school is beautifully maintained by the Department of Conservation with interesting historic photos. We also enjoyed being shown where movies like Lord of the Rings and a Mission Impossible had scenes shot plus we had lots of great conversation and jokes. Highly recommend.
