Discover the beauty of Queenstown while enjoying local wine & cheese onboard this sensational Spirit of Queenstown scenic cruise...
Board this sensational cruise with Southern Discoveries to explore the jewel of the South Island, as we venture deep to discover local hidden gems, secluded bays, and other amazing locations that cannot be experienced from the land.
You'll enjoy the pleasure of indulging your palate on a delightful selection of cheeses, crackers, chutneys, and an award-winning glass of Akarua wine from Central Otago. Your knowledgeable skipper will also enthrall you with commentary on the area while you sit back, relax and lap up the scenic views from the comfort of the spacious lounges.
This unmissable journey will take you further than other cruises on Lake Wakatipu, where you can get a real taste of Queenstown and fully appreciate the majestic location.
The experience was a relaxing, serene cruise with stunning scenery on board a modern, comfortable, clean, spacious boat. Due to COVID there were less tourists and social distancing on board meant there were only 4 groups on board our trip. Had it been at full occupancy, the experience would have been much different. The cheese board and wine were a nice touch to accompany the gorgeous surroundings. An hour and a half was plenty of time and enough to get a sense of the area. Nice not to have to commit to a half day.
Lovely trip around the lake with some snacks
Service was amazing did feel sorry for the staff the girls looked somewhat flustered as they were short staffed but did a great job nevertheless had no bubbles or sav available with the chessesboard the rose was a nice alternative though chessboard itself could of been better was pretty much thrown together as a chef myself it could of been better presented & we ended up on the dinner cruise unbeknown to us we would of upgraded if given the opportunity but over all would recommend the views were stunning :)
We booked our cruise before leaving Christchurch, taking a risk with weather etc. It couldn't have been better. From the helpful young staff at the office, who helped us with where to park, to the staff aboard the boat, all of them seemed to go to the next level with Customer Service. Our Cheeseboard with wine was great - often asked if there was anything else we needed. The hour and a half seemed to go quickly. Absolutely stunning views of the mountains and Mt Nicholas and Walter Peak Station. The commentary was very welcome - maybe just needed to be a little louder. All in all, I highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting a relaxed 'special' activity in Queenstown.
