Prepare for a once in a lifetime experience in the Southern Hemisphere, as you take to the skies in a Ski Plane before landing on New Zealand’s longest glacier for some epic ski time!

Lap up incredible views over the Southern Alps on your scenic flight before landing at 2,500 metres on the glacier where you'll be let loose to explore stunning seracs and ice caves, and of course, try some skiing!

The ski terrain is easy to moderate making this suitable for all ages and levels of experience. Your experienced guide will direct you to the ski descents which are most suitable for your experience level, and then you can have some fun on this one of a kind ski slope!

With two ski runs included at 8 - 10kms long, this is NZ’s longest ski-run operating on the Tasman Glacier. Once you've finished your first run, have a break and enjoy delicious lunch on the glacier before your final ski run exploring a new part of the Tasman Glacier.

Duration

  • Aoraki Mount Cook Airport, Aoraki Mount Cook, South Canterbury.
  • 1.5-hour drive from Tekapo or 3 hours from Queenstown.

Restrictions

  • Minimum age: 10
  • Weight restrictions do apply, max weight of 116kg per person-pending other passenger weights at check-in.

    Children must be supervised by an adult.

Bad Weather Refunds

  • If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the bad weather, safety concerns, unscheduled maintenance etc) you will be entitled to a full refund.

Notes

  • Please Note Important: Please provide your own ski gear, contact us prior if you need help arranging this. We recommend skis of minimum 90mm width under foot.

    If cancelled due to weather conditions or COVID restrictions, it will be a full refund.

    Getting Here: We operate from the Aoraki Mt Cook Aiport (3.5 hours drive from Queenstown, 2.5 hours from Wanaka, 1 hour from Twizel, 1.5 hours from Tekapo, and 4 hours from Christchurch).

  • Please Note there is a minimum of 4 persons required for the trip to depart. Single bookings will be wait listed to be confirmed.
