Jean Jacques, Yes, you can view the TSS Earnslaw from the Wharf, but a cruise on this vintage steamship is a must-do for a lot of visitors to Queenstown. Booking a cruise will give you beautiful vistas of Lake Wakatipu and Walter Peak on the other side of the lake; allow you to visit the engine room and an opportunity to learn about the history of this iconic 104 year old "Lady of the Lake". We’ve been to Queenstown many times and we always take a trip on the TSS Earnslaw - whatever the weather it’s always stunning!
Great Experience and well worth doing, just being able to walk around the boat and see the steam engine in action and the poor man shoveling the coal into the burner in that heat what a job to have, plus the museum with great photos and history enfo aboard, it is something I'll always remember and suggest people do going there. Only bummer was when getting to the historic house we didn't know about being able to stay and have a BBQ buffet at the house if had purchased the ticket for it. not sure if was noted on the bookme sight or i missed it but still cant find a option for purchase on here with meal, but I would still differently do again if go back to Queenstown
Lovely day down the lake. Plenty of seating options.

Croisière agréable. Un petit retour dans le temps à bord de ce beau bateau à vapeur.
