Milford.......SOUND!!

Hard to be critical of such a natural phenomenon - stunning. I was lucky with the weather; the crew were helpful and informative and most importantly, for me, the place wasn't crowded - so I was able to enjoy without interuption

Not for us

If you’re not into touristy things like us but wondering whether you should do this to at least experience the sound I would advise not to. It’s a boring way to interact with the area, especially on a boat of selfie stick wielding tourists.

Milford Sound Nature Cruise

It was a fantastic experience with Real Journeys. As we went in low season, there would have only been about 50 people on the boat so there was ample room on the outer decks to take photos and enjoy the view. The commentary was good (could have been more) and the boat went out to the entrance of the Tasman Sea (smaller boats didn’t go out as far) and up close (almost literally underneath) to waterfalls. Would highly recommend.
