Step off Queenstown's Main Town Pier and onto a big yellow KJet boat for an unforgettable Jet boating experience...
Leave downtown Queenstown in your wake as you power into the channels of two of New Zealand's most scenic waterways; The Kawarau & Shotover rivers!
Skimming over the pure waters of Lake Wakatipu taking in stunning views of the Remarkables Mountain range, we follow the beautiful willow lined Kawarau River, before pursuing the shallower waters and fast-moving braids of the famous Shotover River.
In the shallow waters the Jetboat comes into its own travelling at speeds up to 95 km/ph often in water less than 5cm deep! Your experienced driver will skillfully negotiate the narrow braids, and tight turns of the river while making plenty of time for the exhilarating 360 spins that Jet boats are renowned for.
Covering a full 45 kilometres you get to experience the fantastic diversity of Queenstown's waterways, take in glimpses of local life from the homes lining the lakeshore, as well as stunning views all along the way including river gardens and great views of the Remarkables Mountain Range.
Driven by 60 years of passion, KJet is locally owned and operated and proud of its heritage as the world's first commercial Jet boat operation.

The driver was always checking to make sure we were OK after the spins. ! person wasn't so he took them back to the marina before we carried on with our trip. Fast speeds & spins getting faster, close to the bridge & river edges. Not as adrenaline-fueled as the Shotover Jet, but cheaper & twice as long. Lovely scenery throughout.
Terrific experience, with our great driver, Ben.
We loved our hour-long trip with Kjet. Our guide was great and made our trip lots of fun. It was nice to sight see around the Queenstown bay and up the river while at the same time zooming along in a jet boat. Highly recommend and see this as very good value for money.
Great experience & double the time of the Shotover jet. Beautiful scenery along the lake & 2 rivers. It goes quite fast & closeto the edge of bridges. Do your research before booking as we had to return 2 people to the Marina after a couple of spins. It's wetter on the right side of the boat as the driver sits on the left & spins anticlockwise so he stays dry-ish. Photo & video packages are very good value.
