Take our beautiful horses out for a trek through the scenic valley's of Gills Creek, just 20 minutes from central Queenstown.
Spend two hours exploring Gill Creek Track by horseback, located on stunning Queenstown farmland.
Introduce yourself to our friendly horses and head into the valley, historically known as Old Gold Mining Country.
Throughout the ride you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery at every turn, from the farm flats and valley's to the mountains and rivers that flow down from the peaks. At the end of the track, we visit the picturesque Moke lake. Very few get to experience the beauty of this very special area.
The track offers variable terrain down the valley, with plenty of river crossings, small climbs and flats on the open farmland.
This trek can accomodate all levels of experience and is perfect for couples or families with older children.
All riders will be made to feel safe and supported.
Remember to pack a camera, the photos taken on this tour are stunners!
Hi Linda, thanks for the review! We're glad you enjoyed your trek around the station! We're sorry one of the horses was a little grumpy that day but glad you still enjoyed the canters and river crossings. Enjoy the rest of your time here!
Thank you to Missy who took our small group out for the ride. We really appreciate your assessing our skill and desire to pick up a bit of speed and rise to the trot and canter. So good to find a company that can make these decisions well to give the customers a great experience. Lovely views, stream crossings and a bit of excitement. Good luck with your next season - highly recommended.
Hi MacKenzie, thank you so much for your lovely review! Missy, Munster and JD are the best!! We so glad you had a great time with them :)
The view was simply breathtaking. However as a first timer for horse riding, I only got instructions on how to turn and stop the horse, and it would stop when nature comes 💩. No precautions on what (dangerous events) that might happen, like how my horse would jump when it was startled. It jumped 2 times in between the rides and the experience was quite scary for a first timer. Did not expect that to happen, the guide saw that and did not say anything too. She was good in explaining the history of the place but mostly interact with the person right behind her, I could only hear some things when she was loud enough. In my opinion, there were only 2 riders that day, she was able to talk clearly to me when my horse stopped for pooping, so it shouldn't be a problem to interact with both of us. And when the ride ended, she only said goodbye and did not emphasize on my encounter or whatsoever. I took the initiative to mentioned again on the horse jumping thing, but she only say it happens because the horse are trying to keep in line too. Summary: I am disappointed with the interaction with guide, explanation on horse jumping (startled), and would suggest the team to have clear instructions, precautions and the horse's behaviour before riding. (My horse like to detour a lot but I was only told about that during the ride, personally I would prefer every precautions beforehand)
Missy was awesome. We will be back to ride more trails with her no problems
Awesome thank you so much for your lovely review! Hope to see you again soon :)

Tolles Erlebnis
