Great Degustation/Sad to hear of closing
Gantley's is a great place in Queenstown that is sadly closing its doors next week. From what I understand the landlord has jacked up the rent making it too expensive for Gantley's to operate. Gantley's always provides top notch, gourmet food and it is a shame this Queenstown institution is being forced out by greedy property owners. Now, an Auckland chain restaurant will be located there and taking away the charm that Gantley's provided to Queenstown. Thanks to the Gantley's owners and staff for the great meals we had.

Delicious!
Lovely night out at Gantleys. The six course degustation menu was delicious, enjoyed every course. Very nice and cosy atmosphere and the matching wines were yum!

What a pleasent surprise
The cab ride from Queenstown was a little longer than expected. The weather was bad and we had to negotiate the puddles in the access path. On entry we discovered a wedding party and wondered whether this was the right night. However we were directed to a separate part of the restaurant still questioning how the staff will cope.The meal arrived and throughout each course it was clear that the chef had produced an excellent menu.no complaints at all. The service was very attentive and the chosen wines were very good. A very pleasant surprise and the food was a testimony to a very skilled chef.
