Doubtful Sound is even more remote and isolated than its near neighbour Milford Sound - taking in the grand scale of this isolation from the air imparts a powerful sense of solitude and serenity leaving you in awe of what is one of the most untouched corners of New Zealand.
This captivating scenic flight journeys over Lake Manapouri, to Deep Cove at the head of Doubtful Sound where fresh water from the Manapouri hydro power station meets the salt waters of the fiord.
From here you journey to the main body of Doubtful Sound where the Tasmin Sea will come into view. Traveling east from here we take in views of Lake Te Anua as we return to Manapouri Airport

Doubtful Sound Over Flight Ex Te Anau
Flight was beautiful as the personnel on and off board the aircraft. When the time comes, we will for sure think to repeat the experience

Oustanding flight
What a trip. Thanks to Danielle and in particular Shaun for taking good care, being very informative and i believe this is a must do for everyone visiting this beautiful part of the world!

Fantastic flight!
We did the private flight over Doubtful Sound as part of our honeymoon trip in NZ and we loved it! We learned so much about the area and had the best vantage point of the water, nature, mountains, and sky. We cannot recommend this trip more highly!!!

Amazing
Michael was a super and really really good guide and pilot for the flight over doubtful sound. He did great. The weather was also really good. We had a great time

Stunning flight
Thanks again Shaun for an awesome flight... Shaun was great to fly with.. sociable, heaps of knowledge, welcoming... scenery is stunning.. never done the boat trip , but stoked to have chosen thr flight instead...
