Hire an electric scooter and make the most of your time to see more of what Queenstown has to offer. A perfect option for those wishing to explore at their own pace and keen to discover some of the local’s favorite spots.

Feel free to explore at your leisure or follow the recommended route along the track around the Gardens, onto the Frankton trail, all the way around the Frankton Arm of Lake Wakatipu.

On your journey, you will view the beautiful gardens, lakefront scenery and breath-taking views of the mountains on your way to the other side of the lake.

There is plenty to see and do along the way and you can stop for a coffee, enjoy some craft beer or soak up some sun on Frankton beach.

Up for mixing it up, jump onto a 20min water ferry ride back to Town, departing hourly from four convenient locations on the route.

The E-Scooters are perfect for sightseeing while cruising along the beautiful paths and tracks of Queenstown!

They are easy to ride and would suit those looking for a leisurely ride, with added stability and a top speed of 28km/h.

Pick up location: Pick up your hire scooter on the Lake Front of Queenstown Bay.

Duration Full day, but can return any time before then at your convenience.

Product Extras: A beer tasting platter for $15 or a water taxi ticket from Frankton or Kelvin Heights for $6 can be purchased as an extra upon checkout.
Not recommended for participants with back problems, heart complaints or other serious medical conditions.

PLEASE NOTE: A form of identification such as your passport or local driver’s license is required at pick up.

The booking consists of a fully charged battery and use time depends on the rider. Generally, riders get around 20km or 2.5 – 3 hours riding time on a full charge. You can collect the scooters from 10am and return them by 7pm.

We had a lovely time. We took the scooters around to Kelvin Heights and back to the Rees, before we ran out of power. Just an easy water taxi ride in from there. The scooters are great fun, and the lady who looks after them, very nice.

A scoot hoot!

We had a great time scooting around Lake Wakatipu! The scenery is spectacular and once you're away from the harbour area, the pathway is quiet. We made it to the golf course and caught the water taxi back - which was also a lot of fun! Great way to spend a few hours and get an appreciation for how big the area is.
