This is the key to float therapy – sensory deprivation. The salts allow you to float effortlessly without the sensations of your body. This is the ideal space for deep relaxation.
Our Floatation Therapy rooms are equipped with a pool filled with highly concentrated Epsom salt water and heated to your body temperature. This will keep you afloat, entering a near-zero gravity state and reducing external sensory input into the brain. With all sights and sounds removed, you’ll be drifting into a meditative state to effectively rejuvenate your mind and body. This has a range of benefits from pain reduction to enhanced creativity and improved sleep.
City Cave brings a whole different Float Therapy experience to the table. We’ve designed float rooms rather than the traditional tanks to be inviting rather than intimidating, so you can truly relax without feeling restricted. We have infrared panels above the water to ensure the temperature is consistent. The light and sound is set to your liking as to accommodate for personal preference (although we recommend in peace and quiet to experience the full effects of sensory deprivation).
Hey Debra, Thank you for your review. Floating is highly recommended for either before or after a massage so glad you got experience it! I will be passing your words on to Felipe. Hope to get you in for another Floatage soon! Best, City Cave team
Loved everything about it from the location right across from where we stayed at the Wyndham, to entering the door hearing some soothing relaxing music perhaps it was binaural? Smells divine and clean felt very spa like but better. The lady to greet us was very professional and calming, she took us through some darkened hallways where there was a grooming station, bathrooms, and a water station. We were given a tablet to watch a quick introduction video to float therapy, the wait room was amazingly relaxing with nice furniture etc the smells and the relaxing music lingered right throughout the place. We were then greeted by another lovely staff member who took us to our float therapy room, she talked us through some things like what to possibly expect, what to do if we get salt in our eyes, earplugs, music etc & we were happy to get in to it. Before jumping in to 1000 litres of water with 400kgs of Epsom salt you have to shower first and at the end of it. I could go on and on but there's not enough space to write. The float was for an hour. I didn't think we would actually float but was I wrong There's a infrared heater above you on the roof which adapts to your skin temperature which made me feel like I was floating in outer space because I couldn't even feel the water or anything around me. Pure weightlessness. The room is lit with a blue light but then when your ready to switch that of your in pitch black. Let the sensory deprivation begin. Skin body & mind felt so rejuvenated, was the best feeling after a stressful achy morning at AJ Hacketts :( 5 out of 5, can't wait to do it again!!! Try it everyone!!!
Great new experience. Staff are great. Made me relaxed after.

Float and Massage
First day enjoyed float which needs to be done for the experience. 2nd day had the best massage i have ever had with Felipe who trained as a physio. Working/easing the muscles and attention to areas that needed extra work was amazing.
