Are you ready to have your mind blown? Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Come and discover the wonders of the night sky on our 75 minute experience; including at least 60 mins under the stars with one of our epic guides. We use powerful 14” telescopes for awesome views of various deep space objects and special astro-lasers for easy naked-eye viewing of important stars and constellations.
At the end of your journey through our night sky, your guide will take a photo of your individual groups under the stars (Weather Dependent), capturing that picture-perfect moment. And our gift to you!Within 48 hours we will upload your photo onto our public Flickr website and then email you a link to download your digital copy of your photo so you can share with your family and friends, and of course on social media.
But wait, we’re not done. The perks of our tours keep on coming! We cap our tours at 10 people so our ratio of telescopes to guests is tin, one of the lowest in the Tekapo region. Meaning, everyone will have plenty of time on the telescopes and plenty of opportunities to ask our guide questions. Our stargazing locations are super dark, with some of the lowest light pollution in Tekapo. We’re pretty pumped to run our tours from within the gold rated Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, some of the darkest skies on the entire planet.

Incredible
The experience was amazing! Our guide Roslyn was so informative and delivered it in such an engaging way. We were so lucky to have such a clear night and even got to see the southern lights by total chance. The sky was incredible and we learnt lots about the stars and the telescope set us gave us some amazing views which were explained to us.

Five Stars to the Team
We were in Tekapo for three nights and booked the Alpine stargazing tour for our second night there. It got canceled due to bad weather and full refund given. The following evening weather was starting to look up better but turned for worse couple of hours before our scheduled time at 1:30 am. The team was extremely proactive and offered to take us a) free cancellation or rescheduling OR b) taking our chances by going ahead with the tour but offering full refund if views were not good. Unfortunately the views were not great but our guide shared great insights about astronomy and the area. We came back early a bit disappointed with “our stars” but elated with the service level from the team. Cancellation and full refund email followed shortly… Thanks!!
