Departing Paihia, your will be transported to Opua where you will be kitted out with a top of the range mountain bike, helmet, and guide map of all the ‘must see’ locations before heading out on the track.
The Twin Coast cycling tail is the ultimate way to explore the spectacular bay of Islands - with a variety of fascinating historic and cultural sites, gorgeous scenic views, and the iconic Hundertwasser toilets along the way.
The trail between Kawakawa and Opua follows the old rail line - the ride is flat, easy to ride and perfect for families.

Happy cycler
The service we received was great. We were met by a very friendly team on time and transport arrangements were good. Bikes were fine but require water bottle holders and emergency repair kit. The only other improvement required is to offer ladies seats where applicable. We enjoyed the ride and the Kawakawa experience.

Really enjoyed this ride. very easy and relaxing. Perhaps not for the younger age group who prefer more excitement but great for the more mature rider. Bay Bike Adventures were very friendly and helpful.

Nice bike ride
We arrived just before 8am, and then chose our bikes, tested them out and then we're put on van and we were taken to start of the trail. Nice level track (although tunnel closed so have to go up and down quire steep hill). Gor back to pick up spit and can was waiting to collect bikes and take us back. All worked well.
