Well worth the visit

3 elderly ladies with limited mobility and one chauffeurse from Age Concern Whangarei, came to see the Packard Museum. What a lot of memories and stories from the past were brought to mind as we viewed the cars and machinery. Really enjoyed this museum. We know very little about cars and machinery but we surely enjoyed our visit. Mel was particularly kind and gave very interesting information. We would recommend anybody going out to see this collection. I didn't know if it was worth visiting, but it certainly was. There's a huge collection to see. A fantastic place for everyone to go to. Thanks a million, Mel; you made our day! My 3 ladies were buzzing with the excitement of their visit!

Hi Elizabeth, thank you for the review. I did hear the Ladies talking about the vehicles they recognised and it was quite amazing to me, the details they remembered. For many it is definitely a walk through our past and certain can bring back forgotten memories. I'm glad you all enjoyed the visit. See you again one day. Mel. (Packard Motor Museum)

Hi Christine, Thank you or your review. Agree with you 100%. It is a fantastic place to visit , yes, you are correct, it is a lot bigger and a lot more varied than most think or believe. Not lying when we say " 5 Very Full Sheds with memories and treasures galore". Borrowing your words "And a lot more than just cars". At times it is hard to describe. I shall pass on your comment to the staff, they will appreciate that. Once again thank you and don't be afraid to re-visit in the future. Fun day at the motor museum

Well worth the visit, absolutely loved it! A very wide range of motor vehicles to admire and learn about, many of them beautifully restored. Would highly recommend a visit to this place.

From Packard Motor Museum - Entry & Self Guided Tour

Hi nimik, Glad you enjoyed your visit, yes, we do have a huge selection of nearly everything to be seen. We don't actually do restoration work, what you see is really how it started , makes it more impressive. Keep an eye on our website, facebook and other media pages, we do on occasion run startup days, we start the odd vehicle and weather permitting, a ride in a Packard or similarly aged vehicle is available. Well worth the return visit.. Mel
