Jump off a cliff and conquer this exhilarating experience in the spectacular Whangarei Heads!
Take in the stunning views of Whangarei Heads, Mount Manaia and the beaches of Northland’s east coast to the blue of the Pacific Ocean. This experience is suitable for all skill levels, with your chance to master abseiling with a few lessons, learning on gentle slopes before progressing to a range of larger challenges customised to your skill and confidence level.
All abseiling equipment; ropes, harnesses, and helmets provided along with a certified trainer, and safety conscious staff to give you the confidence to experience this fantastic new outdoor activity.
The abseil cycle takes about 2.5 hours and includes three cliffs, 'Jumpstart' which trains the novice on technique. 'Avatar', a 30m cliff descending through a native forest and 'Devils Chin' which is a 40m overhang through a native forest canopy.
Located at Pigeon Mt or Rangiora (the Māori name meaning "Kiss the Sky") in Whangarei Heads, just 30 minutes from the Whangarei city centre, the location and natural setting with spectacular views are worth the short drive off the beaten track alone.

Incredible experience!
Thank you so much, we had an amazing time abseiling. We felt safe and in good hands, and enjoyed the adrenalin rush all morning. Beautiful views, 100% recommend and will be back again!

Amazing day out!
We had great fun! This experience is really for everyone. No matter you are a first timer like me and my partner or you are super experienced, you will for sure enjoy the several hours hanging out in the bush and jumping off the cliffs! Conrad looked after everyone and encouraged us to enjoy the view and sport. Thank you Conrad!
