Gather your friends or family and embark on a real-life detective mission around the vibrant city of Auckland!
If you enjoy problem-solving games then this is the activity for you, instead of playing on a screen how about putting your skills to the test…..in real life!
This interactive game will challenge you in a way that you just can’t get in front of a computer, you will be navigating the streets of Auckland looking for answers to clues in order to solve the mystery.
Once you have found your answer, you will simply message us in order to get your new clue, but you’ll want to be quick in order to reach the top of the leaderboard and make Clue Zealand history!
The “Hunt for the Missing Monarch” will begin in Auckland city centre’s Aotea square where you will be navigating city streets and beautiful parks in search of your next clue.
Depending on your detective skills, the mystery will take 1-2 hours to solve and will include 2-3km of walking, taking a break halfway if needed.
We recommend having teams of up to 5 detectives. If you have a larger group you can divide into teams to compete against each other.
If you have young detectives just let us know as we have a family-friendly option too.
All instructions will be sent via email before the day so you’ll have time to debrief the team.

Very good, enjoyable from start to end. Lots of walking around and learning about Auckland. Game even provided a rest break in the middle to take on board some food.
We had a fantastic time walking through the streets of Auckland and had lots of fun sightseeing while solving some simple quiz questions. Overall we would definitely recommend if you're looking for a leisurely stroll through the city with some quizzical fun sprinkled throughout. SPOILERS BELOW: The one issue we did find was that we had to skip one of the questions which was located at the University House, the plaque which we assumed had the answer to the question has now been taken down and there's no way to find the information we needed as even Google did not have it.
A clever and fun activity, but changes to some of the building signage meant questions aren’t solvable without clues or historical information from Google. Needs to be updated. Auckland City has got pretty rough and dirty since Covid, on a public holiday this course felt like a tour through homeless central - rather than showing off the city’s nicer parts.
we did this activity as a work challenge. It was really fun! I highly recommend it!
