Highlights

  • Experience one of Taupo's best loved attractions by kayak
  • Experienced guides and informative commentary
  • Gourmet refreshments
Departing from the beautiful Acacia Bay, you will glide over crystal clears waters, underneath lush native bush and past imposing cliffs and dazzling inlets, only accessible by kayak, before arriving at the carvings at Mine Bay.

The impressive 15 metre high carvings, painstakingly carved over a number of years, are a true testament to the skills and knowledge of Maori that were passed through the generations.

Your informative and friendly guide will explain the cultural significance of these amazing works of art to the lake and surrounding areas while you take it all in underneath them.

Enjoy gourmet refreshments before taking a dip in New Zealand's largest lake. For those that don't want to get wet, simply sit back, relax and take in the outstanding views.

We use quality double kayaks for our tours that are safe and easy to use and our tours are fully guided so no experience is necessary.

Amazing tour!

Oliver was a great guide! The tour was amazing and fun. It was a rough day with a lot of wind but we had a little motor attached on the kayak supporting us. Would definitely recommend.
