We hired bikes from Bikes & Beyond over the Christmas period - great bikes, fantastic service! Would highly recommend!
Thank you Lucy for your support! we are glad you enjoy the ride. We hope to see you again. B&B team
We loved our day on the E-bikes and biked from Frankton to Arrowtown for lunch, through the Millbrook Resort and back by a different route past the Shotover. The bikes were very comfortable to ride and we had only used about a quarter of the battery by the time we returned in the afternoon, biking about 40 to 50km total. You can get mud splattered up your back as the bikes have no guards and I did notice that they weren't cleaned when we picked them up but someone was away sick, so maybe shortstaffed at the time. We weren't given a map of the area, fortunately our niece and her husband were our guides for the day or we wouldn't have found all the trails we went on. Apart from that the only other problem we had was finding the bike rental place in the first place as it was not well sign posted and was inside the ski and snowboard rental shop on the second floor. All in all I would highly recommend this experience.
Thank you Ivan, we are glad you enjoyed the ride and the bikes. We put a lot of effort into trying to keep our fleet of rentals as clean as possible, I'm sorry the ones you took weren't up to standard, we will get better at that! The mudguards on those bikes were removed when they became a hazard and we haven't been able to find the right ones. Sorry for the muddy backs. We are located inside a Ski hire place during winter (as many other bike businesses in Queenstown do) but we become a full bike shop from Mid October until May with flags and signs all over. We hope to see you around again soon!
Great Bikes to hire had alot of fun, staff were very friendly and helpful, gave his all the information we needed to head on our way. Will be using their services again when we return next time
Hi Ash, thank you very much for sharing your experience. Hope to see you again. Thanks, Lucia
This was fun was to get to see Queenstown. I just would advise to plan your trail ahead of time as the people in the shop were very vague with directions and I got lost lol.
Hi Thames, I would like to apologize with regards to the vague information we gave you. We are training the new staff to provide a great service. Hope to see you soon, Lucia
