Picton: Ship Cove Cruise - Queen Charlotte Sound

Fantastic cruise around the Sounds due to our brilliant Captain Mark. Started off for Ship Cove where the mountain bikers and a couple of others got off to do their thing. Thereafter we set sail for Furneaux Lodge where 2 others disembarked leaving 6 adults and a baby on board with the skipper. Having spotted a couple of seals sunbathing earlier we made for Picton, however our eagle eye skipper spotted birds diving for food so made haste for them. Spot on he was as there were 2/3 pods of dusky dolphins which then frolicked around the boat for some time. A majestical moment. From there with Picton in sight skipper Mark spotted a flock of blue eyed penguins swanning up and down in the water. A great nature tour it turned out to be after a very pleasant cruise and one can only put that down to the skipper.
100% highly recommended tour.
