When we went, it was for an early time. The man at the desk was very helpful and gave us clear instructions on where and where not to go. We had been there many many years previous, so things were changed a lot. We walked to the start of the walking trail and looked at the many steaming areas of mud pools and small lakes. It was a cloudy and cold day but by the time we reach the look out we had warmed up. The information sheet which was given to us at the start of our trail provided the information on each area as we stopped and visited. Over all our time here was very enjoyable, we only saw one other couple on the track at the same time but people where coming in as we were leaving. We enjoyed our wander through the thermal area. Good walking shoes I feel should be warn, just to help in some slippery (loose metal) areas. We had fun and enjoyed the whole experience and was fun to be reminded of our past trip that we made with now past in laws. I would like to go again on a warmer day to get some great photos.

The Geothermal Walk

We have a very fun experience. The walk itself was easy to do on our own. The views were pretty good and we enjoyed it very much. The place feels very welcoming and accommodating.
