Explore the unspoiled bays of Stewart Island on a minibus tour with an insightful local driver/guide.
This tour is recommended as as soon as you first arrive to the island. It is timed perfectly to meet your ferry arrival in Oban village.
Sit back and let our drivers show you this incredibly beautiful island - known to Maoris as Rakiura. Listen to the wealth of knowledge from our local guides - both informative and humorous.
Highlights include a stop at Lee Bay, the gateway to the Rakiura National Park, Halfmoon Bay, Horseshoe Bay and Observation Rock with it's stunning views of Paterson Inlet.
The tour is 90 minutes finishing just in time to take a tour to Ulva Island if you wanted. It's suggested as an excellent option to add on to an itinerary especially for those who have never been to Stewart Island, for those who are short on time or who don't have car hire.

Oban, Stewart Island
Rhys our tour guide was very informative about life on the island. We enjoyed the experience and appreciated his assistance and knowledge of the sites visited. Having mobility issues he instilled confidence that we were able to safely transverse the terrain to take in all the views.
