Fabulous
First went to @Tony's in 2004... It was our fave then... Returned to Christchurch to live and visited again for their famous tempura sushi... Absolutely fabulous, hasn't changed food wise, best ever Japanese! Hands down our favorite restaurant in Christchurch!

A lovely dinner experience
Received friendly service, food and drinks were served promptly. The ambience was great and it was cool to see the chef's on the teppanyaki grill even though we weren't seated right by the kitchen. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly, especially surf&turf as it was a nice way to sample the various seafood and the beef.

Fishy oysters
A fish shop owner once told me that fresh fish shouldn't smell. Well my oysters did and also tasted overly fishy, when they are fresh they are mild and creamy. Staff were a little slow with orders, drinks, and general attentiveness. They were not busy we were a 5:30 booking. It was my sons birthday and we asked for the egg flick, the chef was a terrible shot and our order ended up on the floor due to no fault of ours.

Great night out
We had an excellent experience at Tony’s Teppanyaki. The food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the sashimi which was fresh and succulent as well as the crispy fried chicken which went down a treat. The wait staff were attentive, polite and helped add to our experience. We will definitely be returning! Arigatou gozaimasu!

Tony’s Tappanaki
The food and presentation was great. The only downside is you’re limited in your menu choice with bookme and you have to buy at least 2 overpriced drinks.
