Notes

Car parking in Milford Sound is $10 per hour, if parking in the main car park, please allow 10-12 minutes to walk to the terminal. There is free parking in Deepwater Basin, please allow 25-30 minutes to walk to the terminal. If you choose to self-drive, we recommend arriving into Milford Sound at least one hour prior to your scheduled cruise departure to allow sufficient time to find a car park and make your way to the Milford Sound Cruise Terminal. For further information about car parking please visit milfordsountourism.nz/parking

Truly Gets You Close to the Waterfalls!

This is an absolute must-do on the South Island! I’ll definitely be back during spring to catch even more of those incredible waterfalls. This is the only cruise that gets you up close to the waterfalls — others just can’t reach them the same way. It’s an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to do it again!

Milford sound Mature cruise

Amazing views of mountains and rovers but definitely not worth driving 10 hours from queenstown for the 2hr cruise. There are similar or much better views on the way and for all other drives. This can be skipped for sure. Unless you go in peak rainy season where you can see multiple waterfalls

Milford Sound Nature Cruise so cool

We were stoked to get rain on the day we went to Milford and it was so magical. Staff on arrival were friendly, moving us to an earlier time. The staff on board were welcoming, and ensured our safety and we learnt stuff along the way. It’s hard to put into words what this experience was like, and I can see why it is called the 8th wonder of the world. Didn’t have time to take many photos because we were there in the moment enjoying it.
