Tick off one of the top things to do in Taupō as you visit some of New Zealand's most extraordinary artworks, the historic Ngātoroirangi Māori Rock Carvings!
Attracting visitors from all around the world, the Māori Rock Carvings are truly unique and only accessible by water, towering 14-metres above Lake Taupō.
You'll travel aboard the Cruise Cat, a stylish vessel that has been built for comfort offering warm booths and spacious viewing platforms that get you right up next to the scenery.
Enjoy live commentary and a hot beverage and muffin on board, and keep the kids entertained with colouring, a treasure hunt, or even driving the boat if the skipper allows. The afternoon cruise also includes a trout fishing demonstration where you'll also learn about various fishing options on Lake Taupō.

Beautiful views
I would’ve given 5 reviews but I felt it was very hard to enjoy the scenic as the speaker was very loud you couldn’t even talk yourself and wearing mask was just not a comfortable experience.

Thank you for your comments, we'll check out the speakers but I'm sorry under current restrictions we cannot alter the mask rules. Come back again and enjoy a 5 star experience when we don't have to wear them.

A Beautiful Experience
The cruise was absolutely beautiful! It was a smooth ride and I loved how the carving was explained, it’s nice to know the story behind what you’re seeing. The views in each direction as we were heading to the Maori carving was very nice, just in awe of God’s beautiful creation. So thank you for letting us see more than what was offered. More of Gods Art work. Thank you for the complimentary coffee and muffin too. So generous. God bless 🙏🏼

great activity
absolutly stunning. Was such a nice trip. Boat is so nice and well looked after. Suitable for prams so all family members can enjoy it
