Lovely reception service! Amazing view from the tower. Nice easy walk which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Challenges your fear of heights too if you're up for a challenge.
We had a great afternoon here will definitely be trying this again well worth the price and I would rate it an 11/10 :)
We had such a good time, the people were great and helped us get the shape we wanted, great value too!
De workshop is laagdrempelig en erg leuk om te doen. Begeleiding is goed en je hebt een heel uniek sieraad.
It was such a great class. I was travelling with my two teenage sons and we had mainly done adrenaline activities. My youngest son saw the class online and I was surprised that he really wanted to do it. And pleased! It was great to slow down and do a right-hemisphere creative activity. It mellowed is all out and we have our lovely greenstone pieces to keep forever.
One of my favourite things I’ve done in NZ !
Tony was a brilliant tutor, informative and helpful. The workshop is a fun environment to learn and tony is open to all questions and methods. There is sometimes an opportunity to make additional pieces if you pay for the extra pieces of Jade. Well worth it! Thanks Tony!
Carving the jade was really hands-on! You choose your own piece of jade and the style you wish to make and are given good instructions on how to achieve a cool piece. Super knowable and enthusiastic instructor and so overall a great activity.
We enjoyed it very much!!! Thanks for the great experience!!;-)
What a fantastic afternoon spent out the back of an iconic pub. Very cheap for the quality and knowledge you gain.
Felt a bit worried as I was the only one for the class, however the gentleman who helped me was nice and patient ( sorry I am just not good in remembering name) Thanks! Got my little cute penguin Pounamu!
Booked this activity not expecting to enjoy as much as I did - great instructor, location easy to find and came away with a fantastic necklace. Even my husband enjoyed it so great activity for couples. Thank you again - thoroughly enjoyed it!!
Tony is just amazing, he is extremely friendly, helpful and great at what he does. You will have a great time. My husband and I had just the greatest time it was more than we ever expected. This was a great experience and you shouldn't miss this opportunity.
My wife and I booked this carving course and we had a blast. Tony was great. We only did basic designs due to the time constraint but for the price we paid it was what we expected to achieve! We even decided to make a second necklace for an extra $20 as we enjoyed it so much!
10/10 this was my second time doing the jade carving. and i will 100% do it again. anybody can do it, i got so much help and advice while i was making my necklace. best jade carving place in nz
Well worth having a look at. Great way to feel like part of nature but also feel safe and secure on the structure. Beautiful scenery and environment.
Good!
Was pretty cool to be in the tree tops and to look over the lake loved it.
This is an amazing attraction. As New Zealanders I hope this initiative does really well. The location is set in this beautiful bush setting with a great play area for the kids and a great cafe and gift shop. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The treetop walk is a wonderful, I marvel at the construction of this walkway and tower, the views are fantastic and the whole concept is very user friendly. Thankyou and best wishes - Glenys and Joan
Se have recommended it to our friends. We really enjoyed the Tree top walk. It’s great even in drizzle as you are really apart of the forest. The access to the start is quite steep for some people, there is transport available making it very accessible. The railing is at a good height especially for people who are not good with heights and you feel really safe. The information stations are great too.
Great experience
Great attraction with awesome views. Make sure to climb the tower as well.
Great views.
Amazing walk, beautiful scenery with lots of Information
Fabulous experience. Up high in the native treetops, great views, even climbed the high tower!
Great afternoon excursion. We both enjoyed the walkway and amazing views. Interesting info along the way and good, home baking in the cafe afterwards.
This was a perfect wee walk for our family. Being so close to the coastline it offered a different aspect to our weekend break which we thoroughly enjoyed. The 'lookout tower' was awesome ,but very much not for the feint hearted!Recommend this to all travellers visiting this part of the west coast
A really great experience. A mean feat of engineering, enabling a chance to see NZ flora and faunat from a different perspective. Self guided map was really great and the views from the "Hokitika Tower" is worth the 107 steps. With a complimentary buggy to drive you up and back to/from the steel platform if needed plus a cafe and gift shop, definitely worth a visit.
