Glacier Country Helicopters is a local family, owned and operated company. Husband and wife duo Poppy and Gus Gordon who are both commercial pilots started the company in 2014. You’ll find them at the hangar or flying one our helicopters most days.
Our friendly team are certified Qualmark Gold, have received the Traveller’s Choice Award several years and look forward to showing you the glaciers, rainforests and mountains that form our incredible back yard.

Won’t book again
We were there last month, the weather was not ideal on the first day so they rebooked us. The second day was perfectly sunny and cloudless but they still refused to take off while other heli tour companies were all operating just fine. We literally saw more than a dozen helicopters going into the mountains and returning. The blonde girl at front desk was kind of rude too. Book any other heli company other than this one.

Hi, I've checked back on your booking and see we didn't fly at all on the day you were rebooked for, and you were given a full refund. Each company in town makes their own weather calls as we have different routes and landing sites to make the calls on. It looks like there were extremely high winds around our landing sites that day hence the sky was cloudless. We generally have one of the lowest cancellation rates in town due to the variety of landing sites we have but that doesn't mean we can always fly. There is also a lot of helicopter work in the area that isn't scenic flights. We will not be bullied into risking our team or customers by flying in conditions our pilots do not consider safe. Thank you

Amazing experience
Did the heli flight with my family and we all loved it. The weather was perfect, views of the glaciers were beautiful. Our pilot, Poppy, was very nice! :) Overall a great experience.
