Go further and get up closer to the breath-taking beauty of Milford Sound by Coach & Cruise with Mitre Peak Cruises!
You'll begin your adventure from Te Anau as you journey along Milford Road by comfortable coach and experience what is known as one of the world's most picturesque drives.
The stunning alpine setting is the perfect backdrop as you enjoy full commentary from your knowledgable driver, stopping at many different points of interest along the way for fantastic photograph opportunities. The Milford Cruise will get you up closer and further than any other cruise in the region, fully immersing you in Milford Sound and all its glory.
Sit back and relax as your cruise sets off to cover the entire length of the stunning 16km Fiord, cruising by some of the most iconic landmarks and natural displays of beauty including Mitre peak, Lady Bowen Falls, Lion Mountain, Copper Point, Seal Rock and Stirling Falls. Due to the limited numbers of passengers on board, the cruise offers a much more authentic and intimate experience of this world-renowned scenic destination.
Whether sitting inside, or out on our viewing deck, you will have fantastic unobstructed photo opportunities as your friendly skipper provides a fascinating commentary on the highlights along the course of the cruise. After the cruise we will make our way back to Te Anau by Coach, arriving between 5.30-6pm.

This trip is great value. It is worth it just for the transport and cruise but Jeff's (our guide) commentary and knowledge was a real bonus. I've driven to Milford before but this hands down beats driving yourself as I was able to relax and enjoy the beauty and the jokes.
It was great being able to relax and enjoy the tour without needing to drive.
A great day out, driver/guide was informative, helpful and provided great service, even my son was impressed which says a lot
Had an AMAZING time with our tour guide being John! The little stops before even going to Milford Sound were such a great experience, not to mention the Sound itself!

The Most Memorable Milford Trip
I would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could. The office staff went above and beyond to make sure our group all got booked on the same tour. We also loved our guide - our group is still saying (weeks later) that we are so thankful we got Helen. Though I have been lucky enough to go to Milford Sound several times before, going with Fiordland Trips & Tramps was truly like going to Milford Sound for the first time again because of Helen's commentary. As a previous employee of the Department of Conservation Helen was an absolute treasure trove of information - from flora and fauna to history of the area - just wow!! I also loved the short walks we took on the drive back to Te Anau. Every other tour I have done has made the same stops, and while those stops are lovely, the walks Helen took us on was experiencing Milford in a far more intimate way. Just loved it. Thank you so much!
