Take your time and enjoy your day with a self-guided wine tour!

Visit the amazing wineries, museums and attractions of Marlborough, with twenty-four stops to choose from and a simple-to-follow bus timetable. With buses every thirty minutes, you can hop and op off where you like, with a recommendation of spending an hour for tastings and an hour and a half for lunch.

By booking with Hop on Hop off you unlock a variety of discounts with selected wineries, with tastings and lunch at your own expense. Please note this tour is only available for Cruise Ship days.

1. Fidelio Cafe and Wine bar -European-style cafe and wine bar featuring a comprehensive wine list with live music.

2. The Blue Penguin Gift Store- New Zealand's best gift store!

3. Town Stop (Seymour Square)- A picturesque park of carefully tended gardens.

4a.Marlborough Museum -Wine exhibition and includes the famous Jim Eyles Collection

4b.Brayshaw Heritage Park-Home to the Marlborough Historical Society, Marlborough Vintage Farm Machinery, The Vintage Car Club of NZ and many more.

5.Omaka Classic Cars- A unique collection of New Zealand vehicles that were popular during the 1950-1980 period.

6.Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre- Two fascinating collections of rare aircraft brought to life in powerful displays created by internationally famous Weta Workshop.

7.Wither Hills- Producing under the philosophy that the finest wines are always created from exceptional vineyards.

8. Rimpere Cellar Door & Vineyards -Situated in the heart of Marlborough region named Rimpere meanng '5 Arrows', come enjoy their own Sauvignon Blanc.

9.The Fancy Cow Restaurant/ Winery/ Brewery- Range of wines with balance and character for everyone to drink! A brewery called DNA Brewery and Taproom.

10. Hunters Wines- Positioned in the original farmhouse and retaining the original villa characteristics, Hunters have tastings inside or out in the gardens. Visit the artist in residence and enjoy a light lunch.

11. Saint Clair- Enjoy a locally sourced lunch in the middle of the vines with wines from one of Marlborough’s most awarded family owned wineries.

14.Cloudy Bay- A stunning prestige vineyard with delightful wines.

15.Allan Scott- Exclusive wines and gifts, relaxing dining indoors or out, delicious seasonal menu and giant chess.

16. Jackson Estate- 100% Kiwi owned! Concentrating on low cropping yields and small batch fermentation with fruit from a single vineyard.

19. Clos Henri - Nestled in the foothills of the Wairau Valley carved by power glacial and tectonic forces

20. Woodbourne Tavern- The 'Woody' is a family pub in the middle of Renwick

21.Cork & Keg- An English style tavern, serving beer, cider, wine and great food; warm fire in the winter.

22. Gibson Bridge- A boutique family owned vineyard nurtured on the banks of the fast flowing, alpine fed, Gibson Creek.

23. Forrest Wines- Situated just outside Renwick in lush gardens.

24. Framingham- They make aromatic styled wines to accompany food. They have won several awards including 2018 New Zealand winery of the year.

25. Nautilus- A relaxed and informal tasting.

26.Boom Town- Relaxed atmosphere, chilled vibes and great beer.

27.The Vines Village- Home to Golden Mile Brewing, Roots Gin and a cafe and deli all with a lakeside deck.

28. Whitehaven Wines- Located in the Vines Village, Whitehaven Wines have a singular vision of making wines from 100% Marlborough fruit.

Restrictions

  • The buses are not licensed, so alcohol cannot be consumed whilst on the bus. We follow strict duty of care protocols which may result in the stoppage of a guest's tour when not followed. The removal of the offending passenger in the event of consuming alcohol, intoxication or disrespectful behaviour may occur. A fine will be charged for any event which causes cleaning such as spillage or soiling the bus.

Legal Drinking Age Enforced

  • To consume Alcohol you must be over the legal drinking age. You may be asked to produce Government Issued ID to prove your age.

Bad Weather Refunds

  • If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the weather or anything else out of your control) you will be entitled to a full refund.

Notes

  • Please be aware that this tour is only available on days Cruise Ships come into Port.

    Tastings and lunch are at your own expense.

    Before your tour, please decide on the stops you wish to make and get these directly booked with each venue. Pre-booking is essential to make sure your experience is as good as possible.

    You will be provided with a wristband and a map of the stops/the route on the day with the allocated timetable. Use the wristband to unlock Hop on Hop off specials at selected venues.

    Cancellations: If you cancel the Hop on Hop off Wine Tours within the 14-day period your tickets are non-refundable.There is no refund if you miss the tour.
